I think the whole "mandatory remote play" feature is a big push for the Japanese market though. It's basically Sony acknowledging handheld dominance in that region, and saying this is their way of approaching it.

Will be interesting to see if it works or not.

It's probably going to be disappointing, just like everything SCEJ has done this gen outside of Demon's Souls (EDIT: and Gravity Rush). A new Wild ARMs or Souls game would be great, but I just don't see Sony having learned anything from their lack of exclusive RPGs and Japanese games this gen. They'll probably stick solely to developing niche games and just use this event to announce a release date.

Prove me wrong, Sony. The ball's in your court after you handily disappointed at E3.

Definitely agree, that's exactly what I thought about when they were talking about the Vita/handheld device support and how the PS4 will be able to adapt to the more mobile gaming inclined Japanese market.

WiiU limits you to your home but this will be on a whole different scale since you can play via wifi.

for SCE Japan Studio I think Toyama and his team might have a game for PS4(and hopefully it's next gen Siren).

Dark Cloud 3, well Level-5 is really horrible right now, if SCEJ want a sequel they need to pick a new developer

Demon's Souls 2, I read the rumors but it's weird since From has their own IP now, unless Sony going to do it Batman Origin/Dead Rising 2 style (as in new studio copying the original)
