I got three stealth cruisers for my time in FTL.

Still haven't beaten the boss though. Third run did get me to him, but I didn't get the 'jumps until in range' counter until it was too late.

(they're YOUR jumps, not his)

Looks like the PC Version of Nimble Quest will be re-balanced to not be a F2PayToWin shitfest:

You speak, we listen! NimbleQuest on Steam will not be Free-To-Play!
JUNE 18TH, 2013 - MARSHMONKEY

We have decided that in order to deliver what Steam players want, we will be re-balancing the game to function as a regular paid game instead of the F2P model. That means no In-App purchases, no currency to buy, nothing locked behind purchases. You buy full game, you play full game.

NimbleQuest is a blast to play on the PC, it was mostly developed and tested on PC's with a keyboard and mouse. We also have working controller support, as well as added support for Linux.

LETS DO THIS PEOPLE. VOTE YES!

Interesting!

Any opinions of the NASCAR game?

Based on the beta is it worth it?

I was wondering about that as well. Some videos of the beta have been put up on Youtube now though, and it looks pretty sub-par. Definitely doesn't seem like it's worth $35. Looks to be a simcade, but also seems to lack the fun factor that goes along with the arcade side of racing games. It'd be nice if there was a demo though.

Tomb Raider PC has more crashes than Quick Time Events, even with the latest drivers (Nvidia). Do I have to use 314.22 specifically to get Tomb Raider to run optimally cos right now I'm on 320.18 and while the game crashes less frequently, it still crashes. Usually get to a cutscene, my monitor goes black, audio starts to loop, audio completely stops, my monitor powers down, tower resets, monitor does not power back on and I have to force a restart to regain functionality. I have exclusive fullscreen checked off. That's not the problem.

I've got a Geforce GTX480, i7 Quad Core 2.8GHz with 6GB of RAM and I'm running the game at 1920x1200. I'm not running anything fancy setting-wise, everything's at the defaulted normal settings. No tesselation or anything. Right now I'm using the Nvidia GeForce Experience app that was installed with the latest driver update, apparently I can tune and optomise the driver settings with this application on a game-by-game basis. Gonna give that a shot before I start lowering the settings next.

Edit: Looks like the GeForce Experience does nothing useful, it just automatically detects the maximum settings you can run the game at and sets them.

Anyone needs Aquaria? Got a spare key.

Kinda sad to see it again. I really want the promised sequel. Too bad it wont happen anymore since the developers parted ways :(

Ok this is interesting.

Both Bioshock 2 and Batman Arkham Asylum have had Steam Achievements added recently.

We've theorized that something is happening with GFWL based on both games having achievements added, but not activated, and Halo 2 having an 'alternative option' date set for June.

Well looking at the registry entry for Bioshock 2 and Batman Arkham City have shown some interesting parallels.

Batman Arkham City

Bioshock 2

launch/0/executable: SP\Builds\Binaries\BioShock2Launcher.exe › SP\Builds\Binaries\Bioshock2Launcher.exe

So both games, done by different studios and publishers have updated their test builds within the last few hours. Both are pushing QA and their own internal test builds through daily.

Something big is happening very soon.

Interesting to note that the Bioshock 2 updates have been farmed out to Digital Extremes, the same guys behind Warframe. I'm going to shoot them an email and see if they have any information.

The card market seems more than usually depressed today. A lot of the new game cards are going in the 35c region. At first I thought it was just for the somewhat lesser known games like Blocks that matter where people wouldn't be very keen to build the set, but it seems like this really low price is common across all of today's cards. Boo.

Chronicles of Mystara is coming to Steam and we are very greatful.

For all that is sacred: Where in the world is Dragon's Dogma? That's the most PC game of your f*cking line up, say something, say NO! but the silence is a killer you damn mega corporation.

Thanks for tuning in.

Taking Dark Souls out of GFWL. That would be an achievement!

The latest nVidia drivers are broken, and only a few people have addressed it, almost no one here. I had problems too, revert to the older ones for a better experience.

Besides Anodyne, all the games were on humble bundles. Lots of people have them, so it's not surprising the prices are so low. Also, I think Valve stopping the multi-game idle is also affecting the market, as it takes more time now to get drops for all games, it will also take more time for people interested in badges to go the market looking for cards.

It looks like greenmangaming started selling Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition. Plus you can buy Dungeons and Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara with 20% OFF Voucher.

I just think thats the normal way it will be like in the future.

I mean it is still a beta, but in the future, if there wont be new "series", the card-prices will be as low as crates in TF2.

Dont see a problem with it though. Right now is the time to still make a quick buck, but in the future I guess it will be more of a problem to do that.

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
Oh I figured it was flash because of the look and how the game is quite successful at replicating the really uneven performance you usually get from Flash.

I never had any problems with the performance. I remember it being really smooth.

I dropped 2 foils in a row recently but have had zero luck selling them. People just keep undercutting me.. they will be worth a dollar eventually.

First foil for me. I should've sold it when it was like $6. It's almost $4 now and still dropping.

The quest to make money as soon as possible just results in everyone making less money, brilliant!

It is disappointing how much card prices have tanked but as long as I get a quarter from each card I'm happy. Can't argue with free quarters.

I prefer this world then. Super House is still good and all, but its focus on rushing downward with invincibility rage time makes it less interesting than navigating the traps and risk vs reward of the generated levels in Spelunky.
After dozens of hours of Spelunky (both versions over the years) I've grown a little tired and frankly irritated at the rather extreme lack of room for error the game forces on the player. It's a pretty big flaw I rarely see discussed. Everything after the first caves area has a wildly high chance to one hit kill you or fling you into something that will one hit kill you or fling you into another something that will one hit kill you. And I'm not saying "it's too hard," because I play plenty of difficult games, but I really don't enjoy when the challenge comes from having no margin of error.

Prices have tanked enough and drops have become infrequent enough that's it not worth my time to idle at all. I'll get the cards as I play the games I think. I miss the days (about 3-4 weeks ago?) when it was $1 a card and $8+ for a foil.

I hope they change the "Badge Collector" showcase to let you specify which 6 badges to display. I kind of just want to get a set of six level 5 or foil badges for the indie games I like the most, and call it a day and sell any other cards I come across.

Hope Dean hurries up and finishes the trading cards for Dust.
+1. In the "When is a sequel to Dust coming out?" thread, he indicated he's still pretty early on in the card-making process.
