Still at 800 points on UK Marketplace. Weird as all the other DLC bar Dragon's Keep is 50% off. :/

There were quite late dropping some stuff yesterday, especially the dotw bits. Looks like that one wasn't done correctly. If you really care tweet/contact xbox support or just wait a day or two and they should fix it.

You know what, I haven't been able to stop thinking about Castlestorm. Went ahead and bought it just now after I promised myself I was going to wait for a sale.

The visual design and the simple but satisfying physics got me.

Capsized today! Can't wait to finally check it out.

Also considering the TWD DLC, but since I lost my save on 360 and replayed it on PS3 not too long ago, not sure if I can be bothered to play through the entire game again on 360...

Picked up Scourge because my coop crew is planning to play it and, surprise, it's not as bad as the Gamespot review says. Granted, it's absolutely not a great game and is pretty uninspired and lame, but it's not as downright unplayable as the review made it sound. It's like the definition of a 5/10 on the real review scale, not a "LOL WORST GAME EVER" 2/10 like the big sites use the scale (where 7/10 is "average" and 8/10 is "I guess its all right").

Also considering the TWD DLC, but since I lost my save on 360 and replayed it on PS3 not too long ago, not sure if I can be bothered to play through the entire game again on 360...
Why do you need your save though? You don't need to unlock episodes to play them if that's what you mean.

Wow, Capsized finally came out huh? The guy who made that game lives in my town (Saskatoon). I should send him a congratulatory tweet.

Capsized is pretty great. Takes some time getting used to the floaty controls though and the aiming isn't as accurate as you'd want, but it's a great game nonetheless.

The achievements for Flashback have been put up on x360a and are pretty fucking uninspired. I think developers are just totally bored of them, there was a nice period in the middle where they genuinely added a lot to some games but the good:crap ratio is getting pretty bad now.

Just bought Capsized, looks fantastic, I love the art style and it comes out great on 360 too.

Was supposed to have been out 2 years ago according to the original developer on twitter so perhaps there is another Microsoft horror story (which is a shame) and it does have exclusive levels.

It is a bit odd at first because the game isn't as tight as you'd normally expect but its set in space and it seems like a deliberate choice, I like it.

I keep saying it, ain't nobody listening. You'll all see when Flashback comes out and is the worst game of the year.

Damn, Castlestorm is pretty good. Launching sheep, that have rainbow trails mind you, at the enemy's front gate doesn't seem like it will ever get old.

Yep, it's really pretty great. Everyone should check it out.

I might have purchased Capsized if not for filling up on sales games over the week...

...it does seem like an overall cool game (lol, Chozo Statues, we meet again!), though I much dislike the "You can tell this was mouse and Keyboard first!" controls. No build-up of motion, repeat jumping if you hold the A button, not-so-fun aiming... bleh.

Of course, you'll learn to get around this. And I can forgive the devs for this too, because it seems the game went through a LOT to get here.

The addition of "Arcade" mode is a nice touch too, though I didn't fully explore it. Some local MP options added to a game are appreciated...

I rather like that their comic-panel scenes have a nice bit of texture to them. And the game is pretty dense looking, yay for 2D gaming!

Weird that they changed the name. I mean, the game had nothing to do with the original two ObScure games but they presumably licensed the name or paid for it or whatever.

If I didn't know it used to be called Obscure, I would've sworn Final Exam was a spiritual successor to Shoot Many Robots because that's exactly what the screen shots are remind me of; the type face and HUD are very similar to said game.

It looks interesting I suppose but hopefully it won't be as boring as Shoot Many Robots was.

They're dead set on making the promotion rewards worse and worse each year, aren't they? Come on with that garbage.

Oh well, at least that confirms that Ascend is out in the next 3 weeks.

Yeah, this is pretty shitty of them. What happened to offering one of the games free or a points/cash rebate?

A souls pack for Ascend is hardly going to encourage anyone to buy all four...

Only 2 games for the reward, eh? And it goes towards reduced grinding in a fun-enough free-to-play game, even. (Haven't played the Beta since about midpoint of last weeks sale, though...)

They should really fashion Ascend as a SOA game itself. "5 games, and we're giving one to you FOR FREE!". Signal Studios did premiere Toy Soldiers as an SOA title, so it'd be a nice return to their roots.

Could Flashback be seen as a successor to Shadow Complex for them, thematically? 800 pts is pretty cheap for that.

Hope Charlie Murder sales every bit as well as Castle Crashers did on it's premiere!

They should also conveniently tie a good "My Punchcard" to this...

I don't get MS at this point, on one hand they do a great sales like last weeks ultimate sale and then you get a soul pack for getting two games? wtf? :/

Also this SoA seems really weak, only one exclusive title? I thought that MS will continue to support the 360 with XBLA releases but I guess they want to pull the plug earlier than we thought.

That being said I'm really interested on Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and Charlie Murder, both games look really cool.

I guess this makes Flashback this years Deadlight...

Yup. And at least that one was Exclusive! Brothers has had trailers on PSN for months now, and Turtles isn't an exclusive either. Would have been nice is more console-exclusive stuff coulda been featured... (MS should'a commissioned some DLC for Phantom Breaker Battle Grounds for SOA promotion! Ha.)

Live has changed a lot since these things started. SOA-quality games pop up all throughout the year, and things like Xbox Rewards and Punchcard are constantly giving some form of rebate or deals all year round. Games with Gold is giving us a free game every 2 weeks, plus there's an abundance of free-to-play games now being out there shifts things a bit to...

It would be nice to see them trying to provide an OVER abundance of value, rather than just enough to get by, though. There's so much stuff on XBLA now, they could try harder.

I do miss the "Tiered" deal structure of SOA. Even with these Soul Packs here... they could offer more expensive ones per how many SOA games one buys.

This is probably the weakest Summer of Arcade so far. I will save my points to buy Ducktales and Castle of Illusion. When are these coming out?

Or at least put Super TIME Force in there but I guess they'll hold this one back for a fall release or they could of course make it a Xbone exclusive like they did with Crimson Dragon. :/

Yeah, that one is curiously missing as well... and would have added some nice variety to this lineup. I do hope they put some kinda promotion around it, when it finally releases...

Is Battle: Lost Angeles worth getting at 400 points? forgot to download the trial but I 'll check it out later.

Also I downloaded the Blade Wolf DLC for 280 points on the UK marketplace.

Not really. It's about 45 minutes long and pretty mediocre. It's the funny kind of mediocre since it's so easy and it's all so crap, but it's not worth actual money.

Easy as fuck achievements for anyone who likes that, though. About 2.5 hours to get all of them.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
--Blade Wolf - 280msp (was 560)
--Jetstream - 400msp (Was 800)
--Raiden Custom Body (MGS4) - 80msp (was 160)

Fantastic timing.

Quick question, which of the two should I buy or are both worth the points?

Damn.

BOUGHT.

You and me both buddy. The first thing I did when I booted the Xbox was go straight to check it out.

I would seem to think that the MGR: R DLC's are worth it at half off considering the fact that they're only 3 hours long a piece. I will check out both of them despite not having the game; I'll check out the game once it hits 20 bucks.
