Interesting little idea

Should incorporate MiiVerse challenges into the Miiverse/games more.

Also.. short turnaround for people who buy this game physically.

Reminds me of the nsmbu challenges where you die if you take coins. It messed with my reflexes so damn much it was driving me crazy

The next evolution of the Miiverse system is to deliver these challenges in-game. Pop up the admin messages directly.

Customized leaderboards in miiverse would be great. Send your score to miiverse and it translate it in a leaderboard at the top of the channel.

I was shocked by... how difficult the game actually is. Not really the type of game typically released by Nintendo.

Throwing a challenge on top of that makes perfect sense. Kudos Nintendo.

The messed up thing is that the game is so hard, you'll want to collect coins to get extra lives.

Pretty much, haha. This is definitely a challenge I'll tackle, but I have a feeling I'll do horribly.

Great idea, though. I hope Nintendo does this for all their titles going forward.

I was awful at those ones, it's like having tantalising instant death hazards placed in the most irritating positions.
That moment after you dodge a whole bunch of coins and then instinctively hit a ? block, oh the shame.

This type of challenge should become common with miiverse private communities. Find a rule in any game, challenge your friends and post best scores in the private community. It's a user made achievements approach. I like that.

Oh shit, actual dev-supervised contests through Miiverse.

Sounds really interesting.

Just imagine if Miyamoto got on Miiverse and said "hello, this is Mr. Miyamoto, and today I have a challenge for you," and presented some kind of impossible task in a Zelda game.

I would spend the rest of my life on it.

No coins run? Nope, nope, nope. This game is hard enough at some points I don't need it to be even harder.

I can Imagine Kamiya doing something like this in TW101, but a literally impossible challenge just to troll us.

Will make the game even harder as some of the coins are there to show the way or the jump trajectory...

lol. It ends before the retail version comes out. Typical.

Well I guess I could do it after the fact for fun...(Not on my first playthrough though.)

This could cause a flurry of activity, thereby extending the game's presence in the Plaza, keeping it in full view of every Wii U user. That's marketing, people.

That's a neat competition. I hope Nintendo utilizes Miiverse more for this type of stuff, as it seems a little under utilized at the moment.

He used boost blocks in his run. Shouldn't that be against the rules?

HAX!!!

But yeah that'd be another interesting challenge. That screen having to show no boost block usage. I wonder if landing and jumping off a block without walking on it would count as distance though.

inevitably I think this is what is going to get people to buy a wiiU, the community, having actual developers talk to the fans and give them actual challenges with (eventually) actual prizes, it'd be like a gamer's dream, people might choose wiiU versions of multiplatform games because there might be little things that you can do on miiverse that you cant do anywhere else.

I actually started trying for this some hours ago... Way too hard. I think I'll manage to have less than 500 though...

As much as I love Nintendo games themselves, the Miiverse is my favorite thing about the Wii U. I've probably spent more time goofing around there than playing the games.
