Any news from another game is bad for COD, at this point.

Anyway, this is interesting. I wonder if Rockstar North developed it, or maybe it was given to another Rockstar team. That could explain why it would be like a separate game within GTA V.

The last main GTA game outsold the COD game in that year. With the larger install bases COD game have been selling better in recent years, but even then they haven't had the legs that IV has. Also GTA IV is still charting today. Even MW3 doesn't chart anymore(in the UK. Don't know about the rest of the world but I assume it's similar). Also there's way more buzz around GTA V this year and yeah it's pretty much guaranteed to outsell Ghosts.

I think it will be a feature that connects to every GTA game. So in GTA VI there will be an option that says GTA Online and so on for every GTA game.

It's not a seperate game. It's the mutiplayer portion oh GTA 5. My guess is that it's called GTA Online so they can heavily modify and expand it later on
