I don't understand why they made rayman legends. origins hyperbombed and i got it for 19.99 like 2 days after launch. BUBUBUB shipped a billion bububub shut up.

This is one of those situations where I'm reminded that this is a creative industry, perhaps some human desire or passion was involved...or perhaps the hope was that the gamepad concept, had it taken off, would entice new consumers to try out new games, such as Rayman Legends (and perhaps, gulp, Wonderful 101) A colorful platformer would be at home with Nintendo gamers while capitalizing on the gamepad in some way. We know how the gamepad concept as a system seller turned out though.

Im 90% sure that Nintendo are going to make bayonetta an Eshop only purchase.

They could always Gamestop exlusivize it like they did with Xenoblade (please at least do that with X if it comes to that Nintendo.)

Why are strippers at the U.N. bad when they're great at strip clubs???

If they don't double-down on it and go all out marketing it like a real blockbuster game (ND, LOL) then they might as well.

Nintendo needs to start marketing every game like they marketed Pokémon. They clearly know how to do it.

I see why they made, but I don't understand the pricing at all. guess the wanted the same model as last time. Get a few thousand poor souls to pay full price first then sell a million at half price later.

only theory that makes sense is they were distracting Ancel so he didn't blow 100 million on making nextgen BG&E2 bomba :p

I'm gonna go ahead and guess Rayman Legends on Vita was probably the worst selling thing all month.

Bummer.

Ubi have no one but themselves to blame. The missing content should not have been a thing, and it especially should not have been something that was discovered just before it released. It's absolutely scummy on their part.

Remember tw101 was prob brought by main hardcore crowd which could make a lot of its sales digital, I would like to know the whole sales not just npd, I wouldnt be shocked if digital is about 40% of its sales.

Yeah, because when I think digital, I think hardcore gamer. Or not.

Even with the low sales numbers, it apparently made a profit, so they got to make another one.

This is apparently what happens when a game is made on a budget which is in line with its sales prospects. Who could have ever guessed?

There are posters who have seen the eShop numbers for the month. They say that no one wants to see those either :(

aka the Vita Defense

And in the W101's case it sounds like software sales were so bad that even if digital matched them the game still megabombed.

That would still be abysmal.

fortunately i think ubisoft has learned from their mistake and won't be delaying games with a month to go before release from here on out. i mean they lost $560m recently- they would be stupid and crazy to do it.

lol.

Well at least they learned the lesson of not making games exclusive to the Wii U.

W101 (lack of) sales are crazy. Is this Platinum's worst bomba in the states?

I'm not saying the game didnt bomb, just pointing out the npd numbers would prob be half the full sales

Its on a single console with the lowest install base of any of there other games why wouldnt it be their lowest game?

I wish it were like "Dudebro games and gorefests and murder sims can have mega sales on their consoles (apologies for the hyperbole about those kinds of games), whimsical, colorful family friendly games can have mega sales on ours" concerning Nintendo platforms. But hmmm, maybe the userbase on Nintendo consoles only wants Mario and not "whimsical colorful games" in general. The question of whether a whimsical colorful 3rd party game could stand out on the WiiU such that it would appeal to the userbase and result in greater sales...I suppose the WiiU userbase is so small that there can't be mega sales even if the userbase found it attractive.

W101 is Nintendo published isn't it? Have they ever had a published title sell so little in NPD before?
