Playing as special agent Francis York Morgan (call him York – everyone else does), it’s your job to investigate the brutal murder of a
young local beauty in the town of Greenvale. Amidst the backdrop of soaring mountains and a small American suburb, York must solve
the mystery of the Red Seed Murders and stay alive in a place where supernatural creatures and a mysterious raincoat-clad, axe-wielding
killer seek to end his investigation for good.

Visit the mysterious town of Greenvale with Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut and discover more secrets through the new
scenarios, bask in the beauty with redefined graphics and move with greater freedom with a complete control overhaul.

Greenvale, a sleepy town in the US mid-west, has fallen prey to the Red Seed Murders. With local law enforcement unaccustomed
to the high profile nature, it is up to FBI Special Agent Francis York Morgan to find the murderer, unravel the mysteries of Greenvale
and survive the locals.

Part suspense-filled horror, part action-adventure game, Deadly Premonition offers an open-world experience packed with locals to
meet and places to discover, as well as numerous side quests and mini-games that will help you solve the murders and uncover
Greenvale’s deepest, darkest secrets.

  • Explore the lifelike town of Greenvale, with a real 24 hour clock, weather cycles and the lives of the residents
  • Maintain Agent York's daily appearance to influence inhabitant perceptions
  • Travel the landscape with a variety of cars which can be maintained as they consume fuel and accumulate damage
  • Tons of side-quests and mini-games like fishing, darts and collecting trading cards

Destructoid: 10/10
There is absolutely nothing in this industry that can compare to how weird and wonderful the whole experience is. Judged as a piece
of entertainment, as a game that consistently surprises and amazes and leaves jaws hanging, I have no choice but to say that
Deadly Premonition goes above and beyond. This game is so bad, it's not just become good. It's pretty close to perfect.

SpazioGames: 8.4/10
Forget the Dreamcast-era graphics and some clumsy mechanics (if you can) and lose yourself in this sick and perverse thriller.
You will never forget it.

Edge Magazine: 7/10
The beauty of Deadly Premonition is that it's a straightforward whodunnit viewed through the cracked prism of an unreliable narrator,
conjuring an atmosphere of suspicion and confusion throughout.

EuroGamer: 7/10
It's the Amy Winehouse of videogames: rambling and incoherent, a bit of a mess and not much to look at, but with a unique and
distinctive voice that's very hard to ignore.

Terrible tagline.

Love this game. I just hope it'll be up to snuff for PC. PS3 Director's Cut framerate was just... eh.

I missed out on the first run of this but thankfully they are putting it on PC. Can't wait to experience all this coffee that everyone is talking about.

Re-worked controls and new content?

What is the new content?

As for the controls, well, I don't think they could be any worse than the original controls, lol.

Just for everyone to know, this will be my second time playing it. I originally started the game on the 360, but I got sidetracked with real life stuff, so it'll be sweet to go back to this game!

This will be my second time playing it as well. Looking forward to seeing what I missed the first time around and playing through with (hopefully) much improved controls.

I expect a super broken unoptimized port at launch, considering the quality of the PS3 version!

Doubt my 2010 13" Macbook Pro will be able to run the game, but I'll wait for a Steam sale, then buy and gift to all my friends, 'cause Deadly Premonition love must be spread.

Lets hope it's a good port.
I 1000G'd it on 360, and damn that framerate was atrocious at times. I also own the PS3 version, but haven't actually touched it and I hear it needs a patch badly.

And now I've triple dipped.

Wow, where on earth did this come from? Talk about an extremely low profile release!

This past week has been pretty mad for PC releases on Steam with Naruto UNS3 FB, Enslaved, Deus Ex HR DC, Batman Arkham Origins and LEGO MARVEL Super Heroes. Will add this one to the collection too.

So glad I held off on picking up the PS3 version when it first came out, I can't wait to finally be able to play!!

Might wait until Thanksgiving break and just marathon this and a few others I've had on the back burner for too long.

The price was good

if the wheels were in motion on this port before the PS3 version released i am very disappointed in Rising Star

i just couldn't justify $40 for a game that hardly had any improvements over the original $20 release :(

i guess i'm still being a bit of a hypocrite here, but $25 is a bit easier to swallow. i only do it because i love the game D:

I had no clue this was coming out on PC. I thought it was only for PS3, awesome. Is it worth it at that price? I know the game is campy but I like that and I love the Twin Peaks kind of setting so I was always interested in this game.

Really hope it's not a bad port. The PS3 one wasn't exactly great.

Regardless, it's Deadly Premonition, so that fact alone makes up for any downside.

Preordered the moment it was available on steam. To think I paid $20 for this at release on 360. The amount of milage I got out of this game....

One of my favourites of the generation. A must play.

Is this a port of the 360 version or PS3 version? I know Japanese devs like to use the 360 version due to its similarity to PC.

Wait, how was the PS3 port bad? It launched on both systems in Japan, a PS3 version already existed. Did the Director's Cut run worse than that?
