Really hope DICE can push it to 1080p, but this sounds like pretty final code

Yeah they had some discussion of that in the article, resolution aside I kind of prefer the color pop in the Xbox One version. Its tough to tell though since we're watching a video the color will be affected by the settings of your display at home we're using to watch the video.

No it doesn't. Go look at the image comparison shots. XB1 clearly falls behind and the resolution is apparent.
The PS4 image is washed out and DF acknowledges this in the article.
And the resolution difference is only going to become more apparent on an actual TV rather than watching compressed youtube footage.
Also, the PS4 maintains a better framerate.

i've been begging for over 5 years.
I had no idea who this guy was before the last 3 days. I still don't know who he is other than someone that people here are obsessed with quoting.
I feel like I've won by not knowing anything more than that about him.
The two are largely identical - you have to really look hard to find any differences, and when you do, the XO stands out as slightly more sharper and colourful.

Yeah, it is weird. Towards the end, where you can see the text printed on one of the guns, it looks clearer on the Xbox One version, which if it is running at a lower resolution, that should not be the case. Based on the video alone, to me the XO version actually looked a little better. Jaggies are hard to tell on the video, but they seemed the same in that respect.
This is so fucking weird. Could the Xbox One's up scaling be that good? My head is still spinning, but my eyes are telling me the One's version looks better, but my brain is not processing that because of the resolution difference.

The Xbone coloring is overcompensating I think. Reminds me of TVs at stores that are on torch mode to attract the eyes of consumers and then you see the plasmas on the wall that look dingy in comparison. Nearly every Xbone screen shot and much of the video is completely crushing black detail ( I mean that in a bad way) many times the entire assets are lost in the black, the trade off is that it appears more colorful.
To me the PC looks the best (obviously), but even then there are times where the PS4 I feel has the more natural black detail and color.
Edit: and in screenshots the PS4 version will be called washed out, but pay attention to the amount of black detail lost in the Xbone image. That washed out look is preserving black detail.

Still think the X1 looks better. What it lakes it resolution it makes up for in detail.

Wow it is like people watched the first opening scene of the video and then stopped watching.
Watch the whole thing, the X1 version looks god awful when you can actually see more then just a model underwater.
You can hardly even see things in the background sometimes in the X1 version due to the horrible jaggies.

The difference is alot smaller than I expected and was lead to expect by some people on this site. I'm honestly second guessing my pre-order right now. I prefer the Xbox exclusives and the only reason I went with PS4 was because I thought there was going to be a huge difference. Fuck.......
