Lol at people saying the xbone version looks better.
It doesnt but LOL at anyone saying it is night and day difference. It is super close.
Lol at people saying the xbone version looks better.
Still think the X1 looks better. What it lakes it resolution it makes up for in detail.
Preorder saved.
funny how people are skipping over that the ps4 one isnt 1080p either
oh snap
PS4 version looks better. That distorced pixeling is a signal of the lower res?
Also XOne version looks darker, maybe to hide those defects?
Not a huge difference anyway. At leasy not by youtube video.
Not when it comes to aliasing and shimmer, which is expected considering the resolution difference. It doesnt but LOL at anyone saying it is night and day difference. It is super close.
Crushed blacks, oversaturation, 720p, dropped frames (glaringly so in a few instances), noticeably worse aliasing.
No way any one who watched that whole video can say with a straight face the Xbox version is better...
From what I can tell so far:
- Xbox One has hardware texture filtering and scaling that can help make up for lower resolutions.
- PS4 is still a stronger console overall.
Get your fucking eyes checked lol.
umm, they look the same. If this is what everyone is going crazy about, for me this is a wash.
Yeah I think that is the craziest thing here. The framerate test.Look at DAT PS4 pushing 44% more pixels and maintaining higher FPS!!
the gap is bigger than I thought
Xbox one version runs betters and looks crisper overall.
PS4 has higher resolution, and they are pushing it at 900p while trying to maintain 60fps which causes a few issues.
Look at 1:10 in the DF comparison. PS4 version has higher framerate drop.
PS4 obviously more powerful, but since it was pushed to 900p, it lost some performance.
crashes you say?Interesting too.
"Unfortunately, at this time, we can't provide final verdicts for either the Xbox One or PS4 versions of the game. Microsoft has specified that review scores must be held until November 12th at 9:00AM PST, and we were not given the opportunity to play the Xbox One version's multiplayer component. Regarding PS4, there were serious stability issues that repeatedly led to crashes after multiplayer matches concluded. As the PS4 is still more than two weeks away from its November 15th launch date, it seems premature to assume that this issue will not be resolved and penalizing the game this far from the PS4's launch doesn't seem especially fair. We will further evaluate both next generation versions of Battlefield 4 once they launch on their respective platforms next month."
Clearly better aliasing on the PS4, but this is not a drastic difference and there are some aspects where textures look better on Xb1. PS4 clearly has the edge, but If the rest of the ports turn out this close then MS really has nothing to worry about. Casuals will have absolutely no idea. Looks like DF commented on the scaler differences as well, so I'm not crazy.going to call it a wash ladies.
both have their +'s and -'s

Ummm the X1 version looks better.
The textures are identical. There's just increased contrast. Also, XBO is missing Ambient Occlusion.

Good example right here.
Also, PS4 has a better fps as well apparently, plus some other stuff.
They need to fix that fucking contrast though. The hell was up with that?
Curiously, the top end is also affected, causing the image to appear distinctly washed out, as if set to limited range. This is particularly evident on PS4, which is kept free of a comparable black push to Microsoft's platform to compensate. Right now there's every possibility that it could be a capture situation, but it is worth noting that we saw no such issue on our PC captures and after returning to base, the same equipment produced a perfectly balanced picture on our PlayStation 3.
