Games? Sure. Controllers? If it were yet another mildly tweaked DualShock like 2 and 3 were then yes, but this works with many PS3 games and can be made to work with PC for the most part, so it definitely is nice it's out early. Shame about the lack of color choices though.

I did stop into gamestop and buy a PS4 controller and camera early, but I won't be doing the same for killzone. I had a reason to pick up the controller early since you can use it with other devices. No use for the game disc until I get the console though.

I wouldnt doubt Amazon doing this soon. It is money in their pocket faster. They did it with the controller. I wouldnt mind since I am getting my preorder from walmart. I still cant get confirmation if I can pick that up at midnight yet.

They wouldn't want launch titles dribbling out over the coming weeks though - it'd impact their sales figures for launch day/week and therefore the planned press announcements (if they sell well)

Back when pre-orders first opened for PS4, I went in and put $100 down on one. Haven't been back since, and plan to put the rest down before its release.
But, I'm curious, since I haven't paid it off fully, could that potentially put me lower on the priority list? Is there a chance that, since it isn't fully paid off yet, that I might not be able to get one on the 15th?

Errm, building hype and leading up to something is important to drive sales? Different stores get them at different times.
In this case since no one can play the games since the console isn't released yet, it doesn't make sense to hold the games until the consoles released.
Generally people spoil the game earlier if they get the game before everyone else. (GTA5 for example)
Levels the playing field for retailers. Otherwise companies could have a pecking order and only ship games to certain retailers first, thus giving them more sales than the competition.

Apologies for the mix up... I would expect a money down pre-order = a pre-order regardless of if it is paid off in full... that logical, but the honest answer is, I have no idea.
I am in no rush to pick up my copy I just want to make sure they still hold it till launch. Normally they say they hold games for 48 hours once they start to sell them so that has me worried.
But seriously who is in charge of their texting system... I can only imagine how many calls they have caused to stores or later today empty trips to the store if they refuse to sell.

I got the call as well last night. I called the store and spoke to the guy I know knows his shit and knows what's going on and he was iffy that they will have the game on Tuesday and isn't sure why the calls went out. He said for sure though that the official street date was 11/2 though. He asked to give "him" a call and not the store today around 1:00pm to verify if they get it in a shipment today. If not, expect it Saturday.
