I'd be surprised if any of the sports games were anything other than 1080p/60fps on either console. Those seem to be the genres that are "easiest" to hit that target as far as retail games go. Sony even had The Show at native 1080p on the PS3.

This is the reason I joined GAF. That whole DRM thing was going down and so many sites were nonchalant about it all. I googled xbox one drm terrible and GAF came up as the first result. Started reading the threads, then Cboat made an appearance lol. This place is what gaming journalism should be like, take no prisoners.

Yeah it's been mentioned several times, the fact that he had the gall to ask for an apology when he's the one trying to sell us a product is beyond astonishing. He needs to man up to what he said or never show his face again.
He used fps as an example of performance/power, not the sole metric.

Yeah but he specified FPS, not resolution. So basically if the XBO can run a 720p game at 51fps and PS4 runs the same game at 1080p and 60fps, he is accurate in saying the XBO has single digit framerate difference.

It's actually an apt name for the controversy, because the problem isn't just the power difference. The biggest sins all involve the cover up. They could have simply accepted that they were at a performance disadvantage, but instead we've had months of Penello, et al filling the internet with FUD, misinformation and deceptive claims.
Same way I got here, and to your point GAF and other communities like it are why game "journalism" is and will slowly decline with exceptions like IGN who dick ride dev's and console creators for exclusive footage and interviews private forums full of "hardcore" gamers passionate about our hobby will replace most gaming news outlets.

No, not at the same graphical levels and image quality. Not.at.all.
Even at a substantially higher resolution the ps4 manages to pull a higher frame rate in Battlefield 4. And that's before AO is implemented in the Xbox version, which will come with its own performance penalty.

With that reasoning 360 and xb1 are equivalent as both had cod at 60fps.
That 60fps is there as ps4 doubling your resolution requires four times as many pixels to be updated per frame. So, as a rough estimate, by decreasing your resolution for a factor 1/f, your framerate can increase up to f².
I know I'm new hear but I emphatically agree if regular posters are going to get called out/ banned for bullshit Industry Insiders should be held tot he same if not higher standards.

Good points, also I forgot there were some framerate differences in BF4.
