Tragic victim of fan death
Ando is storyboarding Nagi no Asukara ep8 and Galilei Donna ep7.

Whyyyyyyyyyyyy?

WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?

What did I do to make the universe hate me? :(

Zetsuen already exists so... lol. You did nothing. It's merely a continuation.

Kill la Kill 06

The only thing I liked in this episode was the song that played before the OP. Otherwise, KLK once again provides me with my helping of sighing and cringing for the day.

I really dunno what I'm doing wrong, but I just don't enjoy it. It does have some funny moments and I can tolerate the style and the abundance of lewdness, but ryuuko kinda annoys me and the action is hard to follow

I really don't like dropping shows though, so perhaps Mako can redeem it enough to make it worth watching every week.

Galilei Donna 05

Not sure what to think about this. Pacing was all over the place and it felt like it was an unnecessary episode.
Hozuki was acting odd in this episode, which was a bit of a bother. Only thing that happened of note was the goldfish necklace flashing, so hopefully that gets taken somewhere.
I get the feeling that they're going to be rushing this, which will cut whatever momentum it could have had short.

A disappointing day and week thus far. Can't believe I'm looking to Log Horizon to redeem it.

I might need to add a 5th show if I find one more interesting than the 4 I'm watching.

Mars of Destruction is relatively short, but impressively bad for its running time. Some call it the worst ever, but that claim is highly disputable and some parts are silly enough to be pretty funny. Take note that the reception to this title is highly variable even among those who enjoy the majority of titles on this list.[

I can't remember the last time something, anything bored me to my very SOUL like this did. It wasn't offensive so much as it was completely incapable of holding my attention for any amount of time. After like 7 or something minutes in I just had to give up O_O

You missed the amazing final twist, though.

Them having to shoot Mao twice in two episodes was hilarious.
I would agree the seeds for the trainwreck were already there from the start what with all the theatrics Lelouch engages in,
Clovis' murder
and of course the Zero character.

It wasn't even
Mao not dying
that was the offensive part, it was the fact that they immediately brought him back, in the very next episode. It shows either an extreme lack of foresight while writing the scripts, or an extreme lack of interest in maintaining suspension of disbelief. The way they just handwave away the climactic scene of the previous episode is hilarious.

Golden Time 6

That pacing. Did not expect it to be like this at ep 6 considering it's 24 episodes long. Always looking forward to what will happen next.

Galilei Donna 5
Man, I felt like crying after this weeks episode. Soo sad.

Poor Hozuki :'(

The part towards the end definitely tugged at a few heartstrings, but I felt like they didn't develop these characters well enough for it to really matter. If they really are gone, as a viewer I don't feel sympathetic. What was their reason for being in the story? Will it provide Hozuki with the resolve to protect someone later in the show, or will they write it out and forget it even happened? Hopefully the former will happen (so it'll at least have an effect on the characters), but I'm expecting the latter considering how rushed it feels. In a 22+ episode show, that wouldn't have happened until the second or last episode in that arc.

so someone mentioned there was fanservice in kyoukai no kanata 6

And my lawd there is. kyoani fanservice is the best. half the eps is shower scenes.Other half is other pandering stuff.

This was actually an original goal, but it will need a proper preface, some screencaps, and another edit before it can happen.

That and explaining the concept to non-AnimeGAF will probably be a losing battle. People will assume its a best of list and/or engage in moe bashing.

Strike the Blood 5

It's been a while since I've watched something so damn generic that instead of retaining stuff from each episode, they get jumbled up with my memories of other shows and I just end up confused. I want to like this because there's some good action from time to time, but goddamn are the characters so ridiculously cookie cutter and the exposition/backstories forgettable.

Well, technically, such posts would be thread shitting and you can get banned for that.

Samurai Flamenco - 5

Okay, this show, despite the fact that it's off-model so much, is definitely my favorite of the season.

I love the fact that Mari has roped the other members of MMM into forming a magical girl team. If nothing else, it means they'll have more screentime.

I've only seen the first episode of KNK but after seeing these gifs for episode 6.....what is going on with that show? Like what is it even about anymore? :/

On an unrelated note KLK 6 was AWESOME. The technical level of the animation wasn't super high but what they were able to do with it was straight up art (framing, posing, backgrounds, etc.).

You missed the amazing final twist, though.

Can you just tell me what the twist was? I don't want to have to sit through another minute of that.

Beautiful little sisters wearing glasses.

It's really a slice of life fanservice show with a supernatural plot tacked on top.

You seem to be laboring under the misconception that Beyond the Boundary has anything that can properly be called a "story."

i'm pretty much just skipping around for the glorious kyoani fight scenes each week. don't give a fuck about the story.

The aliens are the original humans and humans are invaders that usurped them. No, really.

Hyouka was a bit boring most of the time to me but at least it was consistent with what it meant to be. KnK on the other hand is having an identity crisis.

You got it, Akio

Akio stop seducing Utena. What I have learned from this episode is Akio exudes some kind of magical pheromone.

"I've been seeing this car a lot lately." Did... did you seriously just notice?

Anthy was majorly creepin' in this episode.

An identity crisis implies you had an identity to begin with.

KnK has no identity. It doesn't have a story. It doesn't even have real characters. There's no there there. It's empty and void, a soulless husk. It's nothing but a mechanical collection of things the author saw and enjoyed in other works. Every story ever written is full of tropes, but it does not follow that just mashing a bunch of tropes together means you've created a story.

You know, I realized I didn't ever finish Fate/Zero as during that time I paused my marathon of it to marathon through the first 7 episodes of Attack on Titan which I became hooked onto. Now after watching... 5 series?... Fate/Zero popped back into my head and now it's time to finish, right at when the second half starts.

Fate/Zero 13

Damn I forgot how amazing the production quality in Fate/Zero was.
Gilgamesh and Berserker's aerial flight was awesome and since Sakura is shown as the sister of Rin with the same hair color I wonder how her hair became purple? As for Caster's summon I wonder if the show will explicitly name it as I really want to be C'thulu.

I guess we could say that it was never inside the boundary to begin with?
