I would love it to simply mean NES games in 16:9. Playing Mario 1 with more to see would be surreal, even if it breaks the difficulty of the game.

Could be, but if NES Remix was an actual compilation, why get a classification for reach game? As far as I know, you only file for the compilation, not every single game separately.
