Wonder why they decided to call him Zato-1, he was supposed to be dead from GGX onwards, being called eddie

And i wonder who Mistery character nº1 is

Also loketest dates are, 12/6 to 9

Calling him Zato 1 again does seem a bit weird. Combine that with the reference on Millia's hat and it seems like they have something interesting planned with Eddie/Z1

Wonder if having him as Zato-1 is their way of ending him and Millia's story? As in Zato-1's resurrected and has had enough of Eddie's shit.

His name is pronounced Zato One in GG I thought. (is even spelled as such in one of the games)

but it is a reference to Zatoichi

I remember this dude had some crazy ass combos in one of the GG where he was the best character. Him, Jam, and Slayer are my favorites.

You are correct, and they only renamed the character Eddie / came up with a story to justify it since the original voice actor passed away and Daisuke thought it was best to do so out of respect.

Zato-1 is like consistently one of the best characters in the game.

Yeah I thought I read that as well.

I appreciate the sentiment but I mean that was pretty much a dead end for the character storywise, so I don't mind this retcon if it's not justified in the narrative in any way.

If that is Valentine, I hope we see Sin, too, at some point.

Also, I would love to see Gabriel become playable, as he's supposed to be stronger than Potemkin. I don't see that happening, though.

I've never played a GG game so chracter name switches and the like don't really bother me. Regardless of that every time I see this game I need it more and more.

Up until now there always was a "and more!" text at the bottom right of the character select screen. It's gone now, so that may be indicative the full roster excluding bosses is there for this first iteration. I'd maybe expect additional characters for the console version.

I think the roster is pretty solid as is, even though I'd also like more

but I probably feel that way since the two characters I was wanting to pick up in +R are already in.(Venom and Axl)
