Really? I thought a sports car would come with at last CS tyres, not economy?... Guess it would explain it but seriously? I find it so hard to beleive it comes standard with eco tyres or something similar. There are a few around here, I'll have to take a look at what they are running.

Yes, the GT86/FR-S/BRZ comes with Michelin Primacy GreenX's, same tires you'll find on a Prius. I guess because they wanted to emphasize the tossable nature of the car by giving it low grip tires (and obviously also to improve fuel economy). Throw a set of sticky tires on it and it gets much faster.

By all means, they can plan ahead for the future. But don't wreck my experience in trying to do so.

Definitely. My copy won't be in till Monday so all I can do is wait n read heh.

I think I'll enjoy starting from the beginning with a wheel this time though. I didn't get one last time till I pretty much got through a majority of the events

Is there an in-game resolution option, or am i going to have to manually set it through XMB if i want to play in 720p?

Yeah, I mean being able to drive every car in the game in splitscreen mode right away. Don't you have to unlock them or something? Maybe I'm remembering wrong...

Yeah, you have to unlock the cars in Gran Turismo (and now Forza 5) to use them in arcade, though I think they gave you a limited selection to start with in GT5.

I seriously don't think the AI are capable of overtaking each other....

Every race I've done so far in career has ended in the exact order of the start (minus my move from last to first).

Really breaks the immersion, as fun as the driving is.

Surely PD couldnt have intentionally overlooked such a detail?

This game would greatly benefit from a 'go to next event' option.

So frustrating when doing License tests or Missions to quit every event and then load up the next one.

That was my biggest complaint about GT5, it was there in GT3 and GT4... why would you get rid of it.. makes the menu grind unbearable.

Fuck! From reading this thread it seems Kaz has learnt nothing over the past few years.

History repeating itself.

Makes me wonder if anything will actually change for GT7.

It'll likely still contain many annoyances, but it'll be so pretty that everyone will buy it again.

Would someone be so kind as to let me know the price for the Ferrari GTO '84?
I'm trying to budget how to spendthe $1,000,000 Cr from my Amazon pre-order.

I'm still installing but is there any chance turning up the AI settings might fix that? Do the aggression settings only work in arcade mode?

Anyone know why the lighting in many circuits is more darker in GT6?

That is bizarre...GT5 sounds better.

The problem with the way the cars sound in GT is the sound is mixed in with the ambiance too much, as opposed to the sound just being directly pumped into the speakers. I feel like the sound stage is setup for a spectator style sound, as opposed to a cockpit/driver sound.

Again, first order of business is always to swap out the exhausts in the game to clean up the way 75% of the cars sound.

What do people want for the career mode? I've always enjoyed how it's worked. Start my way from the bottom, prove my worth in the license tests which help to get adjusted to any new handling differences, and gradually work my way up to the faster cars. Bringing back some of the more fun events should make it feel a bit more fresh as time goes along.

The rain looks a lot less interesting in GT6 than it did in GT5. Okay, so in GT5, it was basically just a texture on the windscreen that did the exact same thing over and over again, but at least it tried. Almost looks like in GT6 they forgot to put anything in. :/

I agree about the rain effect for windshields, but hot dang, that atmospheric filtering looks mighty fine in GT6.

Is it just me or are the graphics kind of rough? I know it's running at 1080p at 60fps, which is an achievement I suppose on this hardware, but I'm finding everything to be pretty hard to look at.

I agree Gutterboy. The game feels old the minute you start the first race. It's a combination of factors that make you feel like progression has been marginal.

I was fearing this,
Sounds like little progress has been made since GT5.

I want more in the series than higher polygon cars.

The rain beads in gt5 were incredibly low-res, and it was very noticeable on a decent size tv screen. There were complaints about it and I guess they fixed it by reducing the amount of rain beads. The result is higher res rain drops, but not as abundant.

That's underselling it - it was dynamic. The droplets would collect and stream off the windscreen based on speed and the g-forces being exerted on the car.

Expectations have been raised I guess, have you been playing new gen consoles and/or PC???

While nothing can touch GTs lightning, the lack of AA is really apparent.

My recommendation, go play some PS1 games for like 2 hours, and come back to GT6, it will look AMAZING, I always do that and it works for me.

S...sort of? It's weird. A lot of the special effects look great and really blend beautifully like 60-70 percent of the time. But outside of that? Woof. The image quality is sort of kicking a lot of the detail in the teeth, with the aliasing/pop-in/tearing/framedrops just fighting for attention. That said? In the groove, this stuff sort of blends out. Still, it's definitely not running at 1080p/60fps in the release version. Most of the time though, you probably won't care if you set it to 720p. This game is gravy.

Man just got my anniversary edition. I was late so I ordered from the US (I'm in Canada) 20$ international shipping fee + 30$ charge on delivery.

It was worth it.

EDIT: That's for two copies.

Sad about this but understandable, I mean, you cant have your cake and eat it too, tons of low res droplets or fewer higher res. Choose one :(

Ugh, I think I'm going to cancel my pre-order right now.
The fuck jaggies are HORRID, even in youtube's small player set at 480p, you can notice a HUGE downgrade in anti-aliasing from GT5.

I thought they aliasing problems were there because they completely got rid of the screen tearing & framerate drops & it was a sacrifice they had to make, but hearing from you guys, that not the case?

I forget, did GT5 have the darken filter in cockpit mode? Imagine it's supposed to replicate the effect of the visor. And man, the motion blur is gorgeous in replays. Makes me even more excited for PS4 GT. Or Drive Club because I believe it has motion blur in gameplay?

Better course selection and opponent cars for the racing class races for sure. If you are going to name the event "Super GT" or "DTM" or similar, the courses in the championships should be courses actually from those series or fictional ones that make sense (Tokyo R246). AI cars for the race should be, well, from those series exclusively.

Also, for AI cars don't mix classes (GT300, GT500, LMP, DTM) all in the same race without having separate winners for each class.

I can understand the upper level fictional "world championship" races being a pot-luck mixture of cars from different series, classes, countries but the championships that are by name real-world should stay realistic.

In GT5 the only way to do this proper was in online which shouldn't be necessary.
