Nintendo confirms that Wii U’s sales figures “continue to be positive. As in, greater than zero”

PS4 with higher multi-platform sales?

Maybe people really do care about resolution, graphics, and performance?

I'll wait for PS4 numbers.

No launch exclusives huh.

I've always thought launch lineups were fairly unimportant.

Edit: referring to exclusive titles only, gah.

This really might be thread of the year. People are camping for numbers. Whether it's Nintendo, Sony or Microsoft, they all have a large stake on this month NPD.

So if the PS4 didn't sell 101k per day or more, that means we can safely assume that the upper bound on its sales was 1.6 million (16 days x 101k sales/day = 1,616k) - not that many people were estimating numbers that high anyway. But we've still got that upper bound data point until the actual numbers come in. We can definitively say that the PS4 sold less than 1.6 million, for whatever that's worth.

This place will lose it when the PS4 releases its numbers at 1.3M plus... it will be glorious to see the tears of MS corporate

Just Dance and Skylanders performing better on Xbox One vs. PS4 tells me which system was more widely available during Black Friday when the casuals were out en masse.
Then again, we already knew this.

Hopefully Sony can begin to keep pace with Microsoft on the supply front while still loading up for the launch of the PS4 across the Pacific.

Those 3DS numbers are pretty bad if they include 2DS.

If it doesn't include 2DS, who the hell knows where the sales could actually be.

Don't get why everyone's so excited the site will be down until a large portion of its base decides to give up trying to view this thread.

Call of Duty is still on top, heh. Pretty damn impressive. I'm interested to see the sales number for Forza, Killzone, Knack, Dead Rising 3, and Ryse.

Anyways, Just want to get this out of the way...

Microsoft: Congrats, you did an excellent job and had amazing sales for a great product that launched at $499, that is impressive. You deserve the great figures you got.
Sony: Congrats, you did an excellent job and had sales that blew everyone's exceptions out of the water. I never expected anyone to hit 2 million sales so fast, and you deserve the great figures you got.
Nintendo: I haven't seen Wii U numbers yet, but if it is that bad as rumored... get your shit together. I want to see you also succeed and I want the Wii U to be a great system with great first party games and good third party support.

No need for negativity I find. :p

That 3DS number is extremely disappointing, it couldn't even have its best November.

November 2011 - 795k
November 2012 - 540k
November 2013 - 760k

I think MS saying they sold faster in Nov. relates to the console coming out the 22nd, where they averaged the number of consoles sold per day compared to PS4 launching an extra week early.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
Well I figured next gen would suck the money out of the industry, so it might see a good bump next month. If not they are going to miss that forecast hard.

I mean, the result is good for a November in general, but it should have done more. At least, Nintendo isn't stopping with initiatives (M&L 3DS XL bundles, and Pokémon 2DS bundles), so December should be great.

I thought Microsoft said Xbox One sold 1 million in it's first 24hours? You gonna tell me they sold close to 900k outside NA in 24 hours and only 100k in NA.

Not a single exclusive, just the (mostly) terrible yearly rehashes. Great taste US.

Ever since the change to us just getting game sales "combined across multiple platforms," the majority of what we've gotten for game information is just games which have been available on multiple platforms. It's a very rare happening that (for instance) a game which released on a single platform, no matter how big, can out-sell a decent, if unspectacular, game which released on 5 platforms.
