I feel like all games on Steam are Early-Access now

There are more early access games, but to say all of them is completely exagerated. I can think of less than a dozen over the hundreds released in the last few months.

If they're $10 or $15, I don't much mind. Usually seem to be worth that much, and there is some enjoyment to be had.
There's a ton of games coming out on Steam in general, but I don't think early access games are an issue. I mean what's the alternative, the game doesn't show until it's officially released, or doesn't get finished because they need the early access funds to supplement more development.
If you don't want to deal with the shit, just ignore it and wait for release like most people. I personally like the option to buy into stuff like Starbound and Prison Architect as it develops.

Yeah, better rename it to "New games on Steam are Early-Access now..." but then again the number of old games defeat the new games lol

I feel like they shouldn't have any. I don't want to see early access games on the front. Why would I want an incomplete game?

You dont have to buy them all.
Because early access is often cheaper than the game's launch price, allowing you to treat it as a preorder bouns. There's also the possibility of shaping the game's development through fan feedback.
Also, it's not like an official release date guarantees a game will be "complete." See Battlefield 4 for a recent example of alpha/beta software sold to consumers as a finished product.

Really? Because from what I've seen it's the other way around. Games being sold at really high prices, that high price acting as a premium to get in early / to weed out people who aren't 100% sure on what they're getting.
One of the reasons I like early access is because I can follow games and buy in when it sounds interesting. For example, right now Spacebase DF-9 seems a bit barebones, but if I read about a new big patch that adds a lot of new mechanics/features to it I might go out and buy it. I like having that option and ease of use to see that stuff.

Early Access games no longer get placed in the New Releases section of the front page, so they're pretty easy to ignore. I think that it's better to have a place for betas and alphas on Steam than to pressure devs into releasing unfinished products to keep the doors open.

It is very annoying. I hate this new Minecraft model and I vote with my wallet.
It's a preorder, but you can get burned out of the game before release.
It was even worse: tons of change of direction of the game's style, two competing versions of the game for a while, and selling at 10 euros for a skin and promise of something cool.

I think they should be in a separate section that doesn't appear on the main front page. If nothing else, they shouldn't have sales, free weekend events, or any kind of big promotion in the main banner area, in my opinion.
I think it's nice that developers have the ability to do this, but they should not be treated like full releases, which they currently are aside from a small warning AFTER clicking through to the details page.
I can't count the number of times I've clicked on something that sounded interesting only to discover it's Early Access and super early to boot.

Though in a way they are releasing unfinished products and taking your money. With no guarantees to top it off.
If you look into the EA selection you'll see that it's the exception rather than the rule -- most of them are either cheaper than they will be upon release or already listed at their final prices.

If anything, Steam should make it more clear that these titles are early access. In my mind, a little blurb above the price doesn't cut it.

They're at least being honest about it, so the people that prefer polished, finished products can wait until the final launch. If they released the final game in beta condition then people would have a right to complain.
I actually enjoy betas more than the release sometimes, because the game changes so much that it feels fresh every time you play it. It's also great to see player input being translated into features.

I like the early release thing, but I agree that it's become too much of a focus on Steam's storefront. I hope they make a separate tabs that differenciates between full fledged releases, FtP and early access titles.
This is true, it doesn't seem like an early release at all.

I honestly don't mind it at all. They have a huge banner on top of their page which says they're early access, so if that bothers you then you can just not buy them until they're done. There could be a different grouping though; so perhaps change it to

They still get featured heavily everywhere else on the front page.
Right now, 5 of the 15 cycling front page banners are for Early Access games. 3 of 6 of the "Featured PC Games" are Early Access, too.
They also appear in the Top Sellers, which I'd reckon a lot of people look at more than the New Releases, and they also get placement in sales, such as the Weekend Deal and Today's Deal. I think they get way too much placement, even without appearing in the New Releases section.
Those games are the exception, and are priced that high to match the Alpha/Beta access prices on their Kickstarters.
The vast majority of Early Access games are priced cheaper than their full releases.

Enhanced Steam allows you to remove Early Access games from the new releases section, so this is a solveable problem. Anyone having this problem should just solve it now. http://www.enhancedsteam.com/. Even without Early Access, there are more games being released now than ever.
I am not convinced that there is a problem though. Since December 1st, 14 games have released on Early Access. 49 have released not on Early Access. There are only 100 Early Access games (by contrast there are 2350 not Early Access games). Also, all Early Access games will eventually not be Early Access games.

Early access shouldn't be on featured items imo. They need to shove them under early access tab or page. Let the full releases get more exposure than alphas and betas.
Why not? Lots of people have fun with these early access titles.

Early Access titles should be viewed in the same ways as you view a kickstarter project - buy the titles you want to support, from developers you trust. And ignore the rest.
