Just finished reading the Luna and Celestia micros. Both fantastic, though Luna's story was undoubtedly a lot more fun. The writers are clearly having a ball with her.
Also, the mini-story at the end of the Luna comic was fantastic. My favourite panel.

I've got to admit, as far as weird fanon pair-ups go the Vinyl/Octavia thing is actually pretty great. They're the original Equestrian odd-couple.
I know, they're the only thing that I could honestly say I ship.
EDIT: (Very) new song from Replacer, one of my favorite pony musicians.
Yeah, I'm not a fan a lot of the fanon shipping, naming and other pairings, but Vinyl Scratch and Octavia just seems right, for some reason. Two mares bonding over their common love for music, although their favorite kinds of music is quite different. Just enough commonality and opposition for it to work.
I like them best as sitcom-style roomates. The idea of a DJ and a classical performer sharing a flat is too good to resist.

Finally got my Micro Series Luna comic in the mail and...
Yeah, this was a lot of fun. I love how easily excitable she is, and how much she has fun with her job. This is the kind of character I love, like Michelangelo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or Grif from Red vs. Blue. Also good to see Celestia have a day off, and Luna even has to deal with friendship reports. Also, she was able to play chess on the moon. That's surprising.

I always favoured "Horse Power" myself, but I'm OK with this too.
I preferred "Snowflake".
And yeah. That's totally a Space Mutiny style name. We put our faith in Bulk Biceps!
It's a pretty great song, I think. If you haven't heard the isolated vocals versions, they're worth checking out.
It's Christmas Eve here, so I figured I'd put on Hearths-Warming Eve. I was actually kinda surprised at how great that episode is, especially for a Merriweather Williams story. A worthy re-watch if you're feeling festive.
