As a PC gamer, resolution is the last thing you try to drop. As soon as the pixels aren't displayed 1:1 on the screen, you lose visual fidelity.

That's very impressive. I hope 1080p/60fps keeps getting pushed on games until the general audience starts to appreciate it (and miss it when it's not present). I have a strong hunch that most people don't care or notice the difference only because they haven't been exposed to it enough.
Mid-end (maybe slightly lower). That's still pretty competitive, though, and mid-low end PC gaming is very good now anyways (1080p/30-60fps on most titles).
Edit: lol @ people banking on XB1 magic sauce. We're dealing with 2 PC's here. Both have similar hardware but one is slightly worse. Don't expect parity when games are using 100% of both systems.

Raw power and probably some RAM issue.
If we go by what the averages are assumed to be then it's: ~35 vs ~55 which is about 66% more.

This early into the generation and the disparity between the machines is already pretty evident. On the plus side it also looks like we're going to see some superb games as devs get used to the systems.

Yeah only on PC will you get 4k res,with 4k textures at 60+fps with all the new nextgen games, The Witcher 3 will look amazing on my monitor @ 4k60fps/ultra settings

Yeah, it's as if every multi-platform game until now has performed better on PS4. Don't tell me nobody realized that Tomb Raider would probably be the same? That's just what the Xbox One is: a console that doesn't play games as well as PS4 but (arguably) makes up for that in other areas. Was there a big controversy every time the Wii version of a multi-platform game was utter garbage compared to its HD cousins? Of course not.
