Well I wasn't even comparing it to PS+ (I don't have it), just on it's own merits. And you're right with that first paragraph, but take me for example, I'm letting my gold expire as I don't play multiplayer on 360 anymore and I don't find GwG worth enough to keep paying for it. That's just my view.
If one is paying for Gold and sees this service as just an added bonus, more power to them.

You make that sound like a bad thing. This game would have been unplayable without a save editor. It is what made the game fun for the four of us.
I was trying to play the game normally and then some people would jump in, killing everything in sight with hacked weapons and whatnot.
I'd be down to play the game like this now, but that's pretty much why I closed the coop and decided to play on my own.
The game is not a gem or even a polished example of gameplay, but I don't see how it is unplayable without save editors.

Hey I'll take it. I use my Gold for lots of activities on both my 360 and X1 so the quality of the free games aren't as critical to me as they might be for others. I don't buy Gold just for these games. Anyways I played the game abit at a friend's house and I loved it. Works great for me since the X1 is in abit of a droubt after its launch and I'm low on funds anyway.

Off topic but has State of Decay ever gone on sale on the X360.like ever? I see it for $15 all the time but have heard it runs abit rough on the X360. Makes me back off abit,but I like its play formula,seems well thought out and fun.

Hmm, you're right, I got confused with M&M and Rainbow 6 being in 2 different months although Halo 3 to Gears of War was 4 titles all Microsoft published in a row.
Perhaps it won't be a second Deep Silver game, wouldn't surprise me if they did go towards that sort of grouping
Hmmm not interested in Dead Island - I don't want to play an FPS hack-and-slash 60-hour zombie game. If there's a demo I'll try it out to see if it changes my mind. But good for my backlog if I pass on that. So far I have only passed on three games: defense grid, keflings, and magic the gathering.
I lasted about 20 minutes before turning it off, and that was Riptide. Some of the worst $5 I've ever spent.
The first area of Dead Island (the beach/resort) is pretty amazing. Kinda goes downhill after that pretty hard. Worth playing for sure though, especially for free and ideally with some friends.

Was really interested in Dead Island after the reveal trailer, but after reviews came out saying the story wasn't all it was made up to be I lost almost all interest in it. I got it with the Humble Deep Silver Bundle, but being on a Mac meant my only methods of playing it were with an unofficial and very glitchy port. The gameplay seemed kind of convoluted at the beginning, but I gave up after 20 minutes because it kept crashing. Will be nice to get it on the 360, but the lack of offline multiplayer is especially disappointing considering I have no online friends to play it with.
Well I meant try the demo now, as in before Feb 1st, since it's not free yet.

Never played Dead Island. Looks kind of interesting but not like something I'd actually go buy. I'll take it.
Just realized how great it would be to get castlevania lords of shadows. And it would even make sense with the sequel right around the corner

Another FPS? Though it would be a bitch of a download, I'd have liked to see something like Lost Odyssey or Nier instead. Should be encouraging gamers to branch out a little.

I'm not 100% certain, maybe they changed it? But I do know that I got Dead Rising 2 through a 1 month promo card.
A one month sub is considered a full sub and as such counts.
48 hour and 14 day trials are just "trials" so they don't grant access to gold discounts, including GwG.

I've never played Dead Island so hey, I've got nothing to lose, I guess.
Unfortunately i am not interested in zombie games, i wonder what the other game will be. I would prefer it if i didn't have to pay to play online even if i didn't get any "free" games. At least i really liked playing playing Might and magic:Clash of heroes, i had never heard of it and i loved it, i hope they put another game like that on games with gold.
Hm. That's not bad, actually. Toy Soldiers is a fun series.

Nice, I was debating whether to get Dead Island a few weeks ago, and I decided it wasn't really a priority. But I'm actually looking forward to Toy Soldiers more, I only have the first game.
