I remember saying I didn't enjoy COD but i am pretty sure I put well over 400 hours into mw2...

Great game, hope its just a graphical upgrade with a few balancing ( knife ) Please dont mess around with it and ruin what made it so good.

April 30th and $25? Seems like they are trying give this legs of it's own by releasing it exactly halfway between main COD release schedule. Smart move imo.

While I love MW1 when they added stuff to it it change the game yet they still kept the limited perk system (a assault rifle can only have one attachment? Really?)

Hope this is legit. The Intervention is the best sniper in any CoD. Plus this game had like no bad maps. Bring on Terminal and Favela.

Releasing the probably most anthicipated remaster of any CoD title in april for only 25 bucks and not hiding it behind a ridiculously expensive "super duper edition"? That doesn't sound like activision, honestly.

Seems like a strange move with all the hype about Black Ops 4, er....Black Ops IIII. I guess the player totals for WW2 fell off the face of the earth. Can't say I'm surprised.

Day 1 purchase if true, but what about the alleged World at War remaster we're supposed to be getting this year? One COD game per year is more than enough. 3 would splinter the player base.

Never got to play MW2 just used to watch tons of videos of it, Sandy Ravage, etc... . It would be really cool to use that SPAS-12 myself.

It's probably for the people got WWII who will skip BLOPS4 and want a decent a this year

If it does release this year I think its only part of the original game. Whether that SP or MP I dont know but I am sure they will save the rest (if not all) for next year's possible MW4.

I remember hating this game. I was almost tempted by the MW1 remake. Everything after that game has been pure trash.

BO 1and 2 have already gotten the backwards compatibility treatment. I think it's very telling that only the Modern Warfare games have not.

My favorite CoD. I would love a remaster (without any lootbox bullshit!).

It was almost perfect. I would like them to change a few things, but leave everything else as is. Off the top of my head:

One Man Army does not refill explosives when switching class.
Blast Shield does not warp your field of view + improves explosives resistance further (something like cancelling Danger Close entirely and applying to lethal radius of regular explosives).

I don't want them to "balance" shit like they are doing today, making everything bullshit or ruining shit just as you unlock it (finally unlocked the f'n Volk in WW2 only to have it nerfed the next day, FU Sledgehammer!).

I sure hope it’s true. This game was the one that leaned on better AI instead of endless waves of enemies until you hit a checkpoint.

SP was epic
MP was great
SPEC OPS was the best extra mode in any CoD

Day one if true!

My favourite CoD overall and I'll probably pick this up if it exits, but I do kinda prefer playing MW3 online. Maybe I didn't have the patience required for MW2 :p

This looks fake to me. I think it will come out though, but in Fall 2019 along with the next IW CoD game like MW1 originally did with Infinite Warfare.

I don't think it's bad timing like some people do. I don't think "if" they released in April it would effect WW2 or BO IIII. If you haven't bought WW2 and/or it's season pass by now, odds are a MW2 release won't be the reason stopping you.

But Acti not trying it to another COD product, not having a hype build up... is like walking into Costco and not finding bargains.

If you think this wont have loot boxes, youre wrong. MW RM had loot boxes with new weapons. I just hope its loot box free for the first few months.

This has to be fake. If this were true, it would be a nice homage to their loyal fans, but Activision only cares about extracting blood from stone. An April 2018 release? 25 dollars? Way too good to be true. These pricks have made every COD on Xbox 360 backwards compatible except for the MW trilogy. After how they treated their fans with Modern Warfare Re-Mastered, I wouldn't put it past these guys to release the game with the next Infinity Ward COD, and six months down the road sell it seperately for 40 bucks.

Damn I loved this game, I used to try knife only and fun stuff like that. The maps were masterful too. I'll pick it up whenever it drops...

a MW2 remaster was really the only hope I had left in the franchise. Imo they are not able to make even a good game. They haven't since MW3. So disappointing.

Maybe I am crazy...but if this is true....NO ONE is buying this game...I loved the campaign, it was very good, but the MP and Co-op modes are where this game really shined. I would argue that if you packaged them separately from the campaign, that they would sell more copies.

I was at the midnight launch of MW2 and the line was almost as big as the Skyrim launch. It was huge.

I had fun doing coop specops and no MP would be a stupid move.

well they are charging only $25 so it isn't like they are trying to rip off people if they charged it for $40. And we still don't know if it won't have co-op mode yet. Let's not forgot that the multiplayer for cod 4 remastered was bad. Or so I heard. Probably should wait until activision says something

I have to think either:

A) They'll be selling multiplayer later, or
B) They're afraid of people playing MW2 multiplayer instead of Black Ops 4 multiplayer.

I can already see the trailer:
"MODERN WARFARE 2 REMASTERED, experience the campaign that changed modern fps games...IN 4K, 60 FPS cinematic experience!"
and everyone will think its the full game, with multiplayer...people will still going to get it.
