Hope everyone's had/having a wonderful Thanksgiving. I'm happy to announce that the Yakuza Locations Tour series will return in 2018. I'm currently in Kabukicho and filmed a follow-up to last year's Locations Tour series with the places some users suggested and requested. Thanks again to everyone for watching the Locations Tour 2016 series. I'll keep everyone posted on my travels as much as I can.

Stay tuned!

I died a little inside after learning that Don Quijote has no theme song irl. Great series of videos, fun and interesting to watch as a long time series fan :)

Well they actually did great marketing and promotion at this year's E3 and the PlayStation Experience in Europe with the iconic Kamurocho Tenkaichi neon lights.

Yeah that was definitely a huge step up from the western marketing of the previous years but we still have a long way to go before we start seeing Yakuza advertisments at popular areas and streets of major Western cities.

My fantasy is that my girlfriend was actually a young high school girl.
All the best for the next series!

I stumbled once into some sort of bar/karaoke club somewhere near golden gai/kabukicho and got talking to one of the workers there (as you do when you are drunk) and he said that Nagoshi-san sometimes visits there. I wonder if you contacted him would he take you out and give you some of his insights.

That would be very interesting. I wonder how much approachable Nagoshi really is.

Holy cow! That's awesome! Speaking of Golden Gai, I filmed one of the upcoming follow up videos of my Locations Tour series at the Golden Gai. I found it quite a bit of a coincidence that one of the bars as you enter is called 'Champion' bar. Stay tuned!

During my stay in Tokyo in late November to early December 2017, I filmed a lot of footage for the upcoming follow-up series. I'll start editing the follow-up videos of the Yakuza Locations Tour series this weekend!

A lot of requests and suggestions (plus a few surprises) will be shown in the 2017 Locations Tour. Thanks again to those who have requested and suggested! That's another milestone for my YouTube channel.

Since December 8th, I've live-streamed both Yakuza 2 and Kiwami 2 simultaneously. I'm fully translating and narrating the game to the best of my ability. In addition, I'll be completing all substories and side activities.

Here is my twitch channel if you'd like to watch the streams live or keep up to date on my progress:

Yakuza Locations Tour 2017 EPISODE 1: A Documentary series comparing Kabukicho, Tokyo to Kamurocho, Tokyo

November 2017 - I travelled to back Kabukicho, Tokyo to film a follow-up documentary series to last years Yakuza Locations Tour 2016. Yakuza Locations Tour 2016 received critical acclaim from gamers, the fans and Sega. Yakuza Locations Tour 2017 is a documentary series comparing between real-life Kabukicho Tokyo to the fictionalized Kamurocho Tokyo featured in the main Yakuza series by Sega.

To celebrate my sixth year anniversary on YouTube, this is my tribute to the Yakuza (龍が如く) franchise and the amazingly talented team at Sega.

Thank you everyone for watching my videos on YouTube. Your continuous support for the past six years has given me the motivation to keep making better videos on YouTube.

This video was a labor of love, made by a fan for the fans.

Tune in every Saturday for new episodes!

Yakuza Locations Tour 2017 EPISODE 2

I visited Nadai Fujisoba「名代 富士そば」: a popular Japanese restaurant chain serving an assortment of signature Japanese buckwheat noodles.

In November 2017, SEGA announced a special collaboration and tie-in with Nadai Fujisoba. Customers can order a bowl of ‘Red’ Fujisoba「赤富士そば」for just ¥500. Available for a limited-time only!

This year, they’ve added more spice and chilli peppers to the recipe representing both Ryuji Goda (The Dragon of Kansai) and Kazuma Kiryu (The Dragon of Dojima) respectively. FEEL THE HEAT!

Episode 3 - Manboo & Yakuza 6 Livechat

In this episode, I visited the Manboo Netroom in Kabukicho, Tokyo. Manboo is a 24hr internet cafe containing a four-square meter box with a TV screen and computer. Most customers, especially tourists, spend an hour or two but there are thousands who spend their lives in them.

One of the new Play Spots in Yakuza 6 is the Mantai LiveChat. Having little to no technical prowess, Kazuma Kiryu will enter an online chat room with the other online users who login for a good time. An AV Idol will appear on screen reading instant messages of her viewers. When Kiryu types a playful message in sequence, the more ‘comfortable’ she'll be!

Thanks to Destructoid's article about the Yakuza Locations Tour videos I made.

EPISODE 4 is now available!

After receiving so many requests over the years, I’ve finally documented my visit at the Shinjuku Golden Gai.

The Shinjuku Golden Gai which served as a basis for the design of the game's Champion District area, consists of narrow alleys and passageways with hundreds of shanty-style bars and restaurants.

A lot of significant story elements and sub-stories in the Yakuza games take place right here.
