‘Halo’ Season 2 Officially Begins Filming at Paramount+ [Exclusive]

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

The second season of ‘Halo’ officially began filming last Monday (August 15) in Budapest, Hungary, with the majority of the cast and crew. The remaining cast is set to join the production this week.

‘Halo’ Season 2 production will take more than ten months to wrap up in June 2023. We can also confirm that in addition to the present team of Spartans, there will be another female member (soldier) joining the Silver Team of Master Chief in Season 2.

Seeing the current production schedule and amount of post-production this series required, we can expect Season 2 to premiere sometime in later 2023 or the first quarter of 2024.

Paramount+ reminds me a lot of CW. Terribly written melodrama that only dumb teenage girls would appreciate disguised as other genres like scifi (Paramount+) or superhero stuff (CW), shows riddled with woke bullshit, no respect for the IPs. idiotic decision at every step and most importantly, they kept making new seasons for shows that were obvious failures.

CW ended up being sold for ZERO dollars with the stipulation that the company "buying" it would inherit its massive debt....

I’ll watch it but I’m sure it’s going to be the same 10 minutes of cool shit for 2 hours of crap show it was in season 1.

If they've managed to see through the fan hate and 0/10 ratings, and hear the actual constructive criticisms, there's a chance to learn from any mistakes they've made in order to course correct.

The worse thing they could do is plug their ears and stay the course.

Not only they didn't listen to the criticism with the Star Trek shows but they doubled down. Don't get your hopes up

Oh I'm not hopeful about anything when it comes to this show. I'm keeping a very neutral attitude and an open mind until I see what they do for season 2. Anything could happen 🤷‍♂️

Just please focus on Mastercheeks and Cortana.

If you don't have enough content for them just make a shorter season or make it a 30 min show instead of 45 min one.

Don't fill time with terrible sideplots

I've started to come to the realization that with good enough writing and directing, 35 minutes is more than enough for a mediocre to good tv show. Too many 40+ minute average rated shows start introducing bloat to fill time.

Same here. Series started out pretty decent but then forgot it was supposed to be about Master Chief and imo turned woke.

The showrunners also forgot that Masterchief rarely, if ever takes off his helmet. Never finished Season 1. Doubt I'll come back to the series.
Seems that the "wokeness" sickness infected the production.

I'm not paying another sub for anything related to that Season 1 shit show. YouTube highlight reel it is for S2.

+ Production, cast, audio, performances, costumes, director of photography etc all on point and wonderfully executed. Keep all of those staff and skills for S2.

- Story/writing, direction, vision, show focus, Kwan character/arc, dumbass action, editing, director etc can all get fucked and should never have been given the time on screen. The people spearheading S1 should have nothing to do with S2. Bring in the one they call Joe Staten and just escape pod jettison S1 and then blow it up with a MAC cannon to be certain it's gone.

David Wiener will serve as showrunner and executive producer for the second season of the sci-fi show. The co-showrunner of the first season, Steven Kane will return as a consultant on the show for Season 2. The series is also executive produced by Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey for Amblin Television in partnership with 343 Industries. Otto Bathurst and Toby Leslie are also exec producing for One Big Picture, along with Scott Pennington for Chapter Eleven and Karen Richards. Steven Spielberg, Kiki Wolfkill, Frank O'Connor, and Bonnie Ross are also executive producers.

Nope, same spearheading personnel. They're sticking with this shit. Fuck.

I had a lot of fun with it. As a Halo fan since 2001 the changes didn't bother me, although I think they could have easily made it work with the helmet on. Seems there is this idea out there from some creatives that you can't have good acting and characters without showing the entire face, as shown in Halo and Preacher where Cassidy hardly ever had his glasses on.

But many shows have shown it can be done. The Corinthian in Sandman never showed his eyes, The Mandalorian keeps his helmet on, Isac in The Orville emotes brilliantly behind his helmet. All it takes is a solid actor and good direction.

I still enjoyed the show though. The action was top notch, and I didn't mind the changes made to characters. This is a sci fi show in the far future, not some medieval thing were diversity seems weird. so the woke comments fall kinda flat imo.

The biggest problem was Kwan. I didn't mind the idea of the character, and I found the actress compelling, she just got shit to work with, and there was too much focus on her when all you wanted was more Chief. That one episode that was basically all her doing moronic shit for 45 minutes was insufferable. I can not imagine they cut her out, but I hope they reduse her part (or make a solid effort to make her interesting and not so stupid), and focus on what made the show fun.

Can't wait for this, me and my partner loved the halo TV series :)

A little less Qwan though please, I found Soren a lot more interesting and likable than her.
