By law it is, but in the real world things don't work that way.

It's not a big deal if two 14 year olds have sex, but if an older man/woman have sex with someone this young, thaaaat's something entirely different.

And? What does this have to do with what we want for our hypothetical daughters? In an ideal world, my daughter would never have sex, period, or have it with me. But even in a non-ideal world, not accepting your daughter to enter the porn business is anything but insane or hypocrite. I´d say it´s normal for a father.

Well yeah, but the law as it stands wouldn't result in the man being arrested unless the girl specifically claimed that he manipulated her to consent.

At least that's my understanding of the AoC law in Spain, so maybe I'm wrong.

Dunno how things work in the real world in Spain, but I think I know what you mean. I think we have similar rules in place in Germany. Still, back when I was in school and the age of consent was 14 here (it's 16 now), my class had to follow the case of a 19 year old supposedly raping a 13 year old girl. Seemed like a big deal. Turned out those two were friends for years and a couple for about a year at that point, and they still were a couple two years later when the trial happened. I'm happy to say the judge dismissed the case within minutes, after the prosecutor basically said the whole thing was a waste of time and nobody got hurt (or raped). Very different from this case, of course...

Going back to lol Turkey no wonder they are not part of the EU post. It seems like their new statutory rape laws are even harsher then the E.U. member nations. And their age of consent is 18 while the average age of consent in the E.U. is 15-16.

The old laws did punish the men involved they got sentences similar to what a person could get for statutory rape in E.U. member state. I read in this article the sentences ranged from 1 to 6 years in jail.

According to Article 414 of the old TCK, men found guilty of raping someone under the age of 15 could be sentenced to at least 10 years, but a sentence could be reduced to at least five years if the minor had consented to sexual intercourse, despite being underage. The court ruled that the Mardin girl had consented and handed down sentences ranging from one to six years in prison to the suspects.

The new laws which they tried to retroactively give these rapist would of not taken the account of consent and would of been harsher then the old laws.
