I know what they say 24/7, because the unemployment grants me the free time to attend every "bring your child to work," day on the calendar.

After the white person line we all know this dude is just a troll, correct? Like I'd hope we're continuing to engage under the pretense of entertainment as opposed to getting riled up, because, like...

It's not even high effort trolling. I've been a student of the game, as it were, and this guy is approaching level 5 using level 2 tactics.
Oh you a student of game huh

They don't make bets about how many of them will die, I can tell you that. I'm not telling you not to consider police officers to be some holy and saintly presence in society....I know that most American white people do because that's just a part of your culture, I'm just saying not everyone does.
Per your OWN STORY the cop was saying they took bets on how many would be SHOT, not killed. Little different than a nurse guessing the BMI of the next 5 diabetic, COPD, under-50 heart attack patients to come through the door. It's not being mean, it is coping with the harsh reality of the world.

But hey, go on assuming it's only white folk. Please submit your IDpol CV so I can accurately place you on the "victim pyramid" ;)

I don’t consider myself of victim of anything. White people can’t oppress me because unlike groups like BLM I have no wish to be a part of the social equality white people have reserved for themselves. I deal in equality with each individual I come into contact with on a daily basis and that’s that. It’s really quite simple.

As for your attempt to downplay poor form by those who have taken an oath to “serve and protect” the community, If it’s not being mean for police officers to make light of and benefit financially from people getting shot(via betting) because we live in a harsh world, why is it mean when I show simple indifference when they get shot? Why is that such blasphemy for you? Shows and proves my point that law enforcement is one of the sacred idols in the American white citizens social theology.

That is fine, but whatever he did in the past he did his time and paid his debt. Otherwise why don't we as a society imprison everybody for life for any and all offenses?
"He paid his dues. He did his time. Give him a chance."

Same poster cheers when innocent people are shot, and hopes they die because he doesn't like their profession.

Hmm......🤔

Two police officers were shot sitting in their patrol car minding their own business and you’re ACABing because your family members significant other said something, which I don’t believe at all based on your posts in this thread, you deemed unnecessary. You obviously do not like white people which is fine, you’re totally allowed to be as ignorant as you choose but it’s just your total lack of empathy for fellow human beings who were gunned down doing nothing more than their jobs.

And spare me your reply. I know you don’t give a shit about police officers or anyone that you don’t know being gunned down.

If the penalty for everyone who falls victim of the law is death what makes us any different from any other totalitarian society?

But all that is neither here nor there because like I said I see the George Floyd situation for what it was, I'm not interested in engaging in a exploration of who he was as a person, whether he was a crackhead, a drug addict, a porn star, a father, stephen jacksons boy, or any of that because I simply don't care. I like many others saw the video. You can spin what happened whichever way you want. You can also not care about him being killed because has as you say a "criminal" in your eyes. That's cool. So don't mind me when I don't care about 2 cops who got shot up. It is what it is and alls fair, buddy boy. Cheers.
George Floyd died from COVID though. That, or a heart attack trigged by his overuse of a deadly, powerful drug. Read the autopsy.

Unless these cops were conjuring up bullets through magic, and messed up in their summoning, the situations are not comparable.

Yes, no one would care. That's just the truth. People get gunned down everyday. Are we supposed to care more because they are cops?

Let me tell you a true story. I live in NY. One of my friends sisters is married to a Cop. A few years ago, before labor day, I went to a party he was having, and he (the police officer) was a little drunk and joking around openly about how him and his cop buddies take bets every year on how many people will be shot at the labor day parade in Brooklyn. Some people were laughing with him but a lot of people were like uhhhhhhhh. My friends sister had to take him outta the room. Some people were shocked. I wasn't cause I know this is how most cops are.

Sorry but...I know there are good cops out there blah blah blah. But I'm not going to sit here and pretend like they are any more noble than every other asshole out here breathing air.
If that shocks you then don't listen to any military people talking. People use dark humor to deal with death. Be grateful that people are willing to do these jobs so you don't have to, weakass. I hear doctors and nurses can also have dark senses of humor cus they also deal with death a lot. Otherwise normal people go nuts.

I don’t care if you don’t believe me, it’s the internet after all so I understand.

I know you don’t know anyone in the military because dudes from the military who put in real work DONT like to talk about what they’ve been through, let alone joke about it while drunk to strangers at a party.

Vets with ptsd struggle with it because of all the fucked up shit that they have seen AND the fucked up shit they have done.

Me being grateful or ungrateful about police officers has nothing to do with the fact that I am indifferent to whether one of them gets shot. Let’s not get sidetracked.

You do know their are veterans out there who don't have ptsd, right? also, one of the most recommended therapies that is recommended for them is to talk about it

Or do you get all of your knowledge of veterans from television shows?

Hence why I said vets WITH ptsd, and I know what I said to be a fact. You're using vets to make excuses for the poor and callous behavior of a piece of shit cop who got a little too drunk and spoke a little too loosely.

Listen man... again, if you want to put cops at the top of your totem pole I don't blame you, that's natural for you because that is a part of your religion and I respect everyones right to believe whatever they want to. But what you consider sacred may not be sacred to me. Not that complicated.

These disingenuous argument tactics are becoming more common, and they're coming from the same group of ideologues.

NPC was an apt descriptor.

oh yeah you're that NPC guy from the other thread. How'ya doing fat?
Listen man, if you want to play the aloof fedora tipper I don't blame you. That's natural for you because it's a part of your teenage cognitive formation and I respect everyone's right to remain in arrested development. But what you consider 2deep4u may not be 2deep4me. Not that complicated.

Fedora tipping is way cooler than calling someone an NPC though, you gotta admit.

It is fucking insane how modern-day media has desensitized people towards violence against the police (or just violence in general). Are there asshole cops who abuse their power and don't deserve to wear a badge? Absolutely. Are there racist pieces of shit cops who target minorities? Definitely. But none of this means that every cop is bad. There are a lot of cops out there who do their jobs properly and deserve more for all the shit they have to put up with and all the risks they have to take because other people won't.

Do cops need better training and accountability? Yup. But they also have to deal with high pressure situations that can have huge consequences, the kind which the people who judge them would not be able to handle. See the above murder of Craig Johnson. See the murder of David Dorn.

Not all cops are bad the same way not all protesters are violent scum. All these generalizations and absolutist statements need to stop if there is ever going to be any kind of meaningful dialogue.
I've said it a few times in this forum... But police officers should have mandatory psychological evaluations BEFORE they're hired and regular weekly therapy sessions. Cops living with PTSD working on the job isn't healthy for them or the people they serve. This is especially true with the military, as well.

I have lots of medical professionals in my family and no one is taking morbid bets on who’s going to kick the bucket. Probably because to practice medicine you have to be a professional, whereas any bum off the street with a GED can be a police officer in this country. Hilarious how you are making excuses for their lack of empathy but want to judge me for mine. Hilarious, but not surprising. The holy trinity for white people in America a are : Police officers, the American flag, and dogs.
Why would a basic college education suddenly make them better officers?

Hey now. Don't be talking down on the education system. College degrees are super helpful. You've seen the quality of character and personal integrity inherent in the protestors with a degree in general studies or arts. We need more of those! If cops had any of the gumption of today's educated youth, they could just take to the streets and use their intellectual qualities and empathic nature to burn down supposed criminals residences or places of business and gun down people exhibiting wrongthink with nary a thought for due process. America would be so much safer. If you want proof that education is emboldening our youth and granting them opportunities they never would have had before, I invite you to look up the white woman who became black, and then turned down her own job, because she's a person of intellect and integrity. God bless the universities.

I don't like people who down play higher education and make assumptions on all of the worst examples and apply them to everyone who seeks a degree or has one. Whether you guys like it or not, scientist, engineers, doctors, biologist and more all had to go college and we enjoy the benefits of their research and hard work everyday. Society would never have developed from a scientific stand point without universities or higher education in general.

My point simply being, was that a college degree rarely has anything to do with regular police work. Now if you was to get into forensics, law, and detective work like at the FBI then sure go right on ahead. I fail to see how a college degree will result into less people being killed in the field or keeping rotten cops off the force.

You don't know anything about me or cops or veterans for that matter, but I don't expect much from your kind on this board.

All I know about you is that you are apparently happy when police officers get shot
