Man, I just got one on Sunday and I have an existing live acct from the old xbox .... still going to try though. I logged in for the first time last night. I wonder if they will require you to mail in copies of the receipt (lame).

You must have bought your 360 between 11/15/06-1/15/07 and established a new XBL account after purchase. Reading comprehension FTW!

I fit these criteria even though I didn't know about the promo, as I happened to buy my 360 on 11/15 and established a new XBL account because my old one was canceled and I couldn't get MS support on the phone. $100 off a premium via Micro Center AND 4 XBL Arcade games! This 360 is truly blessed.

Probably reports from retailers. They DO scan your serial number, you know? All Micro Center has to do is hit the "print serial number report for Microsoft" and mail it in.

48 hour codes don't change your status to XBL Gold. It still considers you as a silver member
