It's not really. She just happens to be one of the least good looking women in a group full of hotter chicks.

And if that 50/50 spilt is true. Fuck players. They get paid to play a child's game and are idealized by people everywhere.

David Stern spoke in dire tones following Tuesday's labor negotiations in which neither side appeared willing to bridge the gap or even schedule an upcoming meeting.

But Stern stopped short of beginning to cancel regular season games, giving Monday as an expected date if a deal can't be brokered before then.

A source says Stern is pushing the union to meet at some point in the next few days to get a deal done.

In letter Y! obtained, Hunter reminds players that they've offered owners $185M per year giveback worth $1.1 billion over 6 year deal.
Here's a question... how is it a "give-back" under a guaranteed contract economy? The players operate under a no-loss business.

I actually got drafted by the Sixers and took Turner's job.

Kinda funny and yet sad at the same time. lol
I was interviewed by your GM too. I flat out told him Philly fans are assholes and I didn't want to play in front of those douchebags.

Lol..I wanted to say the same thing. We are assholes..We stab people with broken beer bottles.

But it was that or Indy or Washington (John Wall doesn't pass the fucking ball).

Cheese Doodles said on his radio show that There will be a deal by Monday. Stern and Billy will meet with smaller teams and hammer something out.

BELIEVE???

Maybe we just really sucked in our rookie showcases. My choices were Houston, Utah, and Philly and I finished with a B+ so I'm guessing those are the teams I deserve. :(

Fake Kyrie Irving never passed the ball and I was playing out of position. 6'4 SG on a 6'11 SF yeah that's fair...

I'm guessing the coach was Eddie Jordan.

What do you mean a "no-loss business?"

Anyway, words are just rhetoric. give back simply means taking less money under the new deal based on projections.

Yeah, I had the same problem with Kyrie hogging the ball. Except I'm a pass first pg and they kept subbing me in at the 2 so I kinda got sandbagged to shit. :(

When a player signs a guaranteed contract, he earns that money regardless whether he plays 0 minutes or 48 minutes. The only stipulation being voluntary retirement or league forced medical retirement or suspension of some sort due to violating league or team policy.

Meaning, that the players can never lose money, only earn.

They're not there.

So if a certain team in Texas drafted 3 rookies to the roster and traded away a guy to get 1 of said rookies, and have expiring contracts of 3 free agents, does 2k just make up generic guys to fill the spots?

Either I suck or it is impossible to get past anybody in 2k.

When you have Jodie Meeks shutting down Derrick Rose off the dribble you have a problem.

Shit is kinda annoying.

AJ Price was shutting down Rose in the playoffs until the officials enacted the free throw parade.

okay. terminology seemed weird, since they're employees not a business.

If your boss came to you and said he was giving no Christmas bonus this year, I don't think someone would claim like that you're a no-loss business since you still get your salary.

Wasn't sure what you meant by that term. Thought you might be referring to the NBA. I do agree, however, with what you intended to mean.

Apparently Rip Hamilton is threatening to leave Leon Rose' agency in response to him being part of the group of agents working to undermine the union leaders. He said if Leon doesn't leave the super 7 group he will exist his agency and take other players with him.

Jodie Meeks couldn't guard the Chair Yi beasted on.

I like the fact that it almost forces you to not cheese your way to the rim but c'mon a mismatch should feel like one. Bigmen are too overpowered this year too. Waaaay too many bigs are playing like Dream.

Hilarious, considering the deal Rose got Rip.

Its rather funny seeing him talking shit about "nba guys" when he ducks out so consistently.

To his advantage, most of the people that post in the NFL thread don't post over here so they just get to see him being "cute".

One prominent agent: "Stern & Billy will talk over the weekend without antics and get down to it."

BELIEVE!

As you know, we have two main issues in this negotiation: the system and the split. On the system, we have fought to preserve our soft cap structure. After two years of hard cap proposals, the owners recently agreed to consider retaining a soft cap system. They have asked us to address their concerns that we (1) help to better match pay for performance and (2) improve competitive balance among the teams. We have discussed different ways to accomplish these objectives, and while we still maintain significant differences on these points, we believe that with some hard work and fresh thinking, our differences can be bridged. We will communicate more specifics on these points when we meet in our next player meeting.

Yesterday, however, was about the revenue split. The owners have long been pushing for significant economic relief and we have differences about the extent of the owners’ losses. There have been numerous proposals to shift more dollars to the owners' side and help over the increased cost of running this business. In our last formal proposal, we offered to reduce our share of BRI to 52.4%, and then gradually increase that percentage over the course of a six-year deal to 54%, yielding an average of 53%. This offer --measured against our current system which guarantees us 57% of BRI -- shifts an average of $185 million per year to the owners' side, for a total of $1.1 billion over six years. We feel this offer -- which would involve no rollbacks of existing contracts and maintain the current Salary Cap and Luxury Tax levels -- is fair and addresses the owners' complaints.

The owners, on the other hand, have been in a far different place. Prior to yesterday, they had stood on an offer averaging 46% of BRI, rolling back this year's salaries and benefits to $2 billion flat and growing very slowly over ten years. Yesterday, they hoped to exchange back and forth offers in an effort to bring our proposal as far down as possible. They began the day offering an increase of just over one point -- to an average of 47%. (They characterized the proposal as a 50-50 split, but with a new $350 million expense deduction, their offer would actually result in the players receiving only 47% of current BRI.) This proposal would reduce our salaries and benefits in each of the next two seasons before allowing salaries to grow modestly over the next 10 years. We informed them, in no uncertain terms, that such an offer was unacceptable, and that we would not engage in this type of horse trading. We reminded them that we had already moved a significant way from our current 57% and would take a stand until they agreed to a fair deal.

As the day progressed, no further formal proposals were made. We held several small group sessions, in which we each explored different scenarios that we thought our respective sides might consider. During those talks, the owners suggested that they might consider a BRI split likely to yield the players 50% of current BRI. After seriously considering whether we should proceed down this path, our group determined not to do so. Recognizing all the owners' arguments about the state of the business and the condition of the economy, in our view, the owners can and should share more of the record revenues our players generate. Reducing our share of BRI by 7 points to 50% -- a level we have not received since the early 1990's -- is simply not a fair split. We refused to back down. As we have done since the beginning, we again indicated a willingness to compromise, and asked the owners to do the same. They refused.

So does 2k12 have a lot of bugs or is it too early to tell? How's the online, is it as shitty as 11?

Not a bug but it's hard as shit to get past anybody. Bigmen can guard fast guards like it's nothing...really frustrating. Midrange is king this year
