The Jason Kidd comparions aren't for naught.
The only thing that saves him from abysmal efficiency is that he is pretty good at getting to the line and can make them when he gets there, and is not a bad 3 pt shooter
The Jason Kidd comparions aren't for naught.
Damn, Adelman has the Wolves closing games on the road.
Shot is broken right now. I'm attributing it to him being a shitty shooter in Europe + playing 35-40 mpg on this crazy schedule, which is much more than in EuropeRubio has great court vision, but it seems like every other night he's shooting 1 for 8 from the floor.

He wasn't ever any good to begin with. His college stats were inflated and he's never had any skill. Hell, he's not even all that athletic for a lottery pick either. This is random, but does AF Aminu have any hope of being good in the NBA? His stats are mindblowingly bad for a top ten pick.
My favorite part about this game was Wes getting 8 minutes and Martell 35.
NBA still charging $169 for NBA League Pass like the season started yesterday...smh.
Martell was jumping like 10 feet in the air in the 3rd and 4th on those reboundsMy favorite part about this game was Wes getting 8 minutes and Martell 35.

So y'all tellin me The whole enchilada from La mirada Derrick Williams got game?
It was nice to see Wes shooting well (fouls took him out of the game), but yea, Webster was FANTASTIC
What? They just dropped it to $89 / $59 the other day didn't they?
Commercials are still yelling $169 as they promote the free preview.
Martell's been knocking down shots and playing something resembling defense. He should be getting a ton of minutes regardless of Wes's foul situation.
lol watThe Josh Smith comparisons didn't really make much sense, but I thought he wouldn't be this horrifically bad. He seems content to try to use perimeter skills he doesn't have instead of doing things to help his team win whenever I see him play.
lol wat
Whoever compared him to Josh Smith is a moron. Smith was always on a different level athletically and defensively. AF Aminu isn't even the best Aminu playing ball right now. Alade Aminu is better in every way - but D-league wings get hated on like LeDefer.
Best Case: Josh Smith
Worst Case: Thaddeus Young
His Draftexpress profile is awesome in retrospect:
ESPN was also mostly comparing him to Smith.

Hopefully in the offseason he'll bulk up and work on his shot with the coaching staff
Rodeo, I honestly believe that Joe Alexander was a better player.
Alexander was able to shoot over 40%, so he has that over Aminu.
At what point are people wondering aloud if the league got a good deal for Paul? Aminu's garbage, Gordon is never healthy and might leave this summer, Kaman is just going to expire, the Minnesota pick isn't that valuable.
For all the grief the Wolves got for "giving away" Garnett, Al Jefferson and the #6 pick was way better.
The Lakers/Rockets deal looks so much better in comparison.
The Lakers/Rockets deal looks so much better in comparison.
If Aminu works really hard and develops a great smile to keep himself in the league, he might be good enough to become the 4th option on a championship team. Still, at least those trade chips were all long-term investments. Scola, LO, and whatever else they would've got isn't any better at all. At least this deal could be called high risk/high reward.
The Minnesota deal was much, much better though. Still, a lot of things had to happen just right for that scenario to occur.
LeDefer.
Glad this is sticking. I think it has more legs than my last nickname (Fraudbrook)
.Westbrook is an awesome player, and a top 4 SG in the league right now.
I have been pretty impressed with Derrick Williams these last few games (cept the suns game, blah). Looks like he is finally figuring out how to play in the NBA, and is not making me totally regret not taking Jonas at 2 spot.
Seriously? Who are you going to put above him?top 2

That's because YNB is now his official, team-endorsed nickname.
The man called Clipper Darrell says the worst thing the Los Angeles Clippers ever said about him their de facto fan mascot was the following:
He is not actually a fan of the Clippers, but a fan of what he can make off the Clippers.
That came in an official team statement this week, and, yes, that one stung.
This is hurtful man, said Darrell Bailey, aka Clipper Darrell. They said I was never a fan.
The Clippers told Yahoo! Sports they actually never questioned Mr. Baileys role as a fan at games. This matter concerns Mr. Baileys activities outside of Staples Center games.
Well, the statement is pretty clear, and whether youre on the side of the Clips überfan or the franchise that is understandably trying to control its brand, one thing is beyond question:
This is the most Clipper-esque thing the Clippers have ever been involved with.
What other franchise would get into a public fight with their most loyal fan at the precise moment they finally become good?
When they traded for Chris Paul, I cried, Clipper Darrell said.
Darrell has been a Clippers fan since 1994. Freshly fired and told by a boss hed never amount to anything, Darrell watched a Clippers game on television and heard the same thing said about the franchise.
The connection was obvious. A love affair was born. Ride or die, Darrell said.
Through the years hes been the big voice in an often-empty stadium, the last believer of a team that lost and lost and lost, the colorful personality for a team whose history was so pathetic and drab.
Yes, Bailey received a few things for his Clipper Darrell persona. Eventually there were free tickets from the team, a measure of fame even in star-rich L.A. and an occasional promotional gig for being himself.
Bailey estimates hes made a grand total of $7,500 in 18 years of being Clipper Darrell.
Now, he and the team he loves are at odds over money. The Clippers are hot and suddenly Clipper Darrell is in demand at least, a little in demand.
Yet everything has fractured. Darrell said the Clippers tried to curb publicity about him. The team denies it. Darrell said the Clippers dont want him using the term Clipper Darrell anymore. The team denies this and says it just wants control over his promotional appearances. Darrell said an executive has been unduly demanding. The team denies that. Darrell said this is over money. The team says otherwise. The team told the Los Angeles Times it offered him a $70-a-night job as a cheerleader. Darrell said it never happened.
Its a factual hall of mirrors, but one playing on websites, radio airwaves and the pages of the citys newspapers.
Its a back-and-forth that has most of the public squarely behind the 44-year-old auto dealer and father of four and against Donald T. Sterlings organization.
The entire soap opera is comical to anyone without a dog in the fight. This seems like one completely avoidable, unnecessary public-relations hit for a franchise that most fans already considered heartless.
It escalated quickly this week after Darrell said on his website the Clippers didnt want him using the team name anymore. The franchise responded by putting him on blast in a lengthy statement that ripped him with the not-a-fan line and ended with, We are no longer interested in that kind of association with him, and that is why we accepted his offer to remove our team name from his stage name.
Darrell was rocked for a couple days and now wants to fight back, claiming he deserved better, that he was just a simple guy and that the franchise has twisted everything.
Darrell spent two days saying nothing, claiming he was wounded. He broke his brief silence with this interview.
I have to get this out, he said.
OK, so heres the latest from Clipper Darrell.
I really doubt they're tanking on purpose (I haven't watched many of their games though). Trying to be last place is not worth it when you consider how many more ping pong balls you're gettingFor New Orleans? Please the last thing we want are two certified hacks in Martin and Scola. I don't think i even need to say anything about emo-odom. I'd rather take a chance on someone like Gordon who might develop into something great than a sub par playoff team in those guys.
And really guys is he really injured? Really? In a year the hornets need to tank to get a very valuable number #1? Coincidence? The hornets are already winning too much already and have had a lot of close ones. Put Gordon on their and it's no contest for #1.
Once we have Davis i think he and Gordon will be a great foundation for the future.

Slightly better odds for Anthony Davis is worth way more losses for a lockout year that has no one on the roster who will be there in two years other than Ayon. Gordon and Okafor have been out for a suspiciously long time and the team's record compared to expected record was pretty absurd just a couple weeks ago. Their crunch time performance is unbelievably, near suspiciously, bad though that probably has a lot more to do with personnel than actually trying to lose.
