I messed with the nVidia control panel but could not seem to get any of the anti-aliasing override options to work. Maybe they work on some things but not effects or glowy things. Supersampling might work but I haven't tried it yet.

It's oddly janky and endearing in a 90's/2000's fashion. It crashed when I landed on a planet but worked when I loaded the save. Multiple save slots! Lots of dialog boxes with archived text so you can dig through logs! Random physics objects scattered around and a big ship you can wander through though I'm not sure the rooms will ever be useful for anything!

Is that playable? How's it look in motion? Or is it better just for screens?

That first one really had me fooled at a glance.

You should use Nvidia Inspector instead, and if there isn't a profile set up already with the specific .exe that your copy of the game is running, then either make a new profile for that .exe or add it to the existing one (if there is)

Then try forcing AA from there.

I'm almost 100% certain, if you have a modern Nvidia card, you can AA the crap out of that game.(Most likely... there are some cases where there are issues. But these are uncommon)

If forcing AA without any AA flag isn't working. Then visit one of these two threads and we'll try to help out.

This from Steam? The store page says it was released 7 years ago. That may be why ;)
When I tried searching the internet I thought I saw a 2005 release date, but maybe there was a different version in 2007 or something. But yeah, old either way, just not 90's old. Sort of like a 90's feel with better graphics.

Thanks for the tips! I thought I downloaded Nvidia Inspector at some point, so maybe I just need to find it.

I think I only played NOLF on the PS2 years ago, back before I became a PC gamer. I still have NOLF 2 on PC somewhere in my box of old games. I rember it was games like that and RTCW that got me into PC games. There was something about the fluidity and the shooting that looked so good when I saw it.

So far so good. Graphics aren't as photo real as the screenshots suggested but they still look nice. Hopefully as the game progresses, they add some options (just low, med, high atm).

Controls well, like the old Tiger games with analog stick swinging.

How is Wargame? Nearly pulled the trigger before, waiting for a few reviews.

Can you remove the UI fully for screens or did you need to get creative with binoculars or something?

I may not share this opinion, but I always thought Airborne was one of the better looking UE3 games. I didn't like that engine in general.

are you using any other form of AA?

I can't even get fxaa to work in the nvidia control panel

No, i mean yes but nothing external/injected because that didn't work for me neither. I just put AA in the ingame options to high and left it at that. I was playing at 3200x1800px though since the game runs very smooth overall for me, which helps also regarding aliasing. That particular shot is taken from recorded video, i was testing if there was a frame withouth minimap right before going to the main menu, and there is. But in the end that was too much work for me to always take every picture that way so i just cropped most of the images.

The NOLF shots got me all nostalgic and I went rummaging through some old boxes trying to find my missing NOLF2 CD. I didn't find it but did find this gem. I remember FEAR scaring the crap out of me when I first played it!

Yo please convert those BMP's to either PNG's or high quality JPEGs.

BMPs are needlessly large file sizes that end up slowing down page loads immensely, for literal 0 benefit compared to PNG, and near 0 perceptible difference compared to max quality JPEGs.

FEAR was a very good game for sure. For me, seeing the enemy animation in NOLF and then FEAR, nothing came close at the time. I don't recall any other game having such smooth, motion captured animation for the baddies. It was superb!

Didn't like where the story went after 1 though.

If I won the lotto I'd happily use a chunk of it to help pay/Kickstart NOLF 3 :)

One thing I remember is the very heavy color grading, which took me a bit out of the game. Especially when you cross a threshold and the entire world goes from blue-gray to brown-orange. Just too much...

I am really sorry for Steam host but i found out that Steam unticked Save uncompressed option after i exited game. Mods can delete this post if they think it is necessary but screenshots are too beautiful not to post them.
