RUMOR: At 2ch, a user say which on new issue of famitsu there's a list
of new games for Xbox 360:

- Chrono Guransu (with Sakaguchi supervision)
- New Seiken densetsu
- New Lufia
- New Level 5's Online game
- Heavy Nightmare
- Fantasy ....(something, can't traslate)

I wonder if there anything true...

OMG new Chrono game, on Xbox 360?!!? And a Secret of Mana game (Which would no doubt be online co-op!). HAWT.

Plz be true. :D

I would totally believe that if it didn't have Level 5 in there. Level 5 would rather blow themselves up than work with Microsoft again I'm sure.

Errr...I've heard rumors of the 6th but not to that extreme, which leads me to believe it's a total hoax of listing a bunch of huge games.

The level-5 game seems the be the biggest flag as AFAIK that's just not gonna happen due to bad blood between the two.

Plus what is going to almost certainly happen is TALES...yet there is no Tales on that list....

:lol

MS must be pouring money on Japanese Developers, seriously WTF? Lufia, New Seiken densetsu and a Chrono game?

Is April Fool's Day 5 days late in Japan, no way Chrono goes to a dead system (in Japan), unless its English first.

how was the popularity of Chrono Trigger in japan? i remember reading that "top 100 games of all time" list from famitsu and i don't think it was in the top 10

i'm wondering how much effect this would have on the jp market... would it have Mother 3 hype or anywhere near it?

Yeah this is why I have a tough time accepting this because it sounds too good to be true.

Wait a minute, why would Sakaguchi be on board for a Square IP?

Yeah....... :lol

I mean Sakuguchi only just made an rpg studio to take on Square head to head. So suddenly he's going to go back to Square and work with them......

I don't think this is true either.. Sakaguchi supervising a square game, level 5 doesn't make sense), however the other list with sega games, tales of etc sounds more reasonable.. :p

Yeah, that seems to be the word, which is what makes this less believable, especially a Level 5 "online" game (after the TFLO debacle). I wouldn't mind seeing Seiken Densetsu and Chrono on 360 though.

That throwing stick stunt of yours has boomeranged on us.

How much would M$ have to pay to get 2 SE games? As much as they paid for rare?

that'd be two good games more than they've gotten out of rare.

Yeah sadly that is way too good to be true. May as well add a Landstalker true sequel and Skies of Arcadia 2 to that list.

I just don't see any reason why any of these companies would put any of these projects on the 360. The 360 is dead in the water in Japan, and the JRPG fanbase in the US and Europe is almost entirely on PS2, to the point where many Xbox fans outright shun JRPGs and even Japanese developers.

Yeah, Microsoft could give them a lot of money, but I think the lost sales, and more importantly turning on your fanbase, would be much more detrimental. Look at Resident Evil, or Rare, or Ridge Racer, or MGS Twin Snakes, etc.

I wouldn't say they shun JRPGs there just aren't any good ones. Put Chrono on 360 and I think it would see good sales in the US and EU.

>>>- New Level 5's Online game

I doubt MS would even want one (L5 failed to deliver before, they aren't stupid). And we've all heard the relationship is soured. That makes this = bunk.

Although I'm very interested in what will actually be there.

Definitely doesn't make things up as he goes along.
No frickin' way.

A Chrono and Mana game for the 360?

A NEW CHRONO GAME?!

With THAT japenese userbase?
No way is that going to happen, which is basically ruining the massive sales potential the game has.

Get the hell out of here. Only if MS paid for the ENTIRE project, plus incentive bonus, no liscence fee, they publish it, and pay for any online fees.

That's probably the one thing - and only of its exlcusive - that would get me to buy a 360 right away.

And that's not something I want to do.
