We'll probably know about Kid Icarus (for NA/JPN, as it's already a confirmed 2012 release for Europe) during the September 13th conference.

Its good to see all the releases listed, but as ever I remain unconvinced by the titles.

Remakes, reboots and samey looking sequels aside, the only 2011 title to register a spark of interest is Mario, and even then it doesn't (currently) look like its worth the price of the entire system just to play.

2012 fares off somewhat better with Paper Mario, but looking at this vague list of distant titles I still can't help but feel underwhelmed.

This disappoints me too.

Those kinds of games combined with the types of games we don't get on consoles anymore (Advance Wars, Metroidvania, a lot of the more unique JRPGs) were the reason I really loved the DS, and there seems to be very little of that announced so far.

I don't mind console type games on handhelds, and even enjoy quite a few, but I don't want them to be the only thing on the system, especially when several notable ones aren't well suited to the controls available.
