yea man, was uploaded pretty quickly after John Murphy announced it was available on Amazon on facebook. Got Corridor, Strobe, and Jetpack song on repeat after ripping it from YT. some ushare files would be ace though

Got around to seeing it last night and enjoyed myself very much. It treaded on the very thin line of referencing other movies and being a pardoy and they kept on the right side of the line to my amusement. I was literally LOLling during the introductionscene of Hitgirl
when she's clearing the room of badass mofo's, chopping limbs while that happy kiddy-music was playing

Ashhong i got kinda mesmerized by your avatar and i checked imdb about Lyndsy Fonseca and found where i remembered her - the start of almost every episode of how i met your mother :D.

saw this at the local cheap theater cause i was bored. i loved the movie but it was an...odd viewing experience

some old dude sat beside me and laughed at the oddest shit. and there were TONS of little kids there. like, 5 year olds whose parents brought them to the movie.

cmon America, parent your kids better.

i also freaked out half the theater when i set off my Droid lightsaber app on accident. that shit is LOUD :lol

Saw this last weekend. Hit-Girl was the only good part about it. The actual Kick-Ass story fizzled out halfway through. Nicholas Cage hardly did anything in the movie and still managed to be terrible.

And holy shit, who was responsible for the soundtrack? I don't think I've ever seen a film with more inappropriate music choices than this. It worked some of the time, but too often I thought I was watching some shitty youtube amv.

BD + Dvd + Digital copy will make it hella expensive, i really wish they would just release the blu ray by itself.
Likewise. Will probably have to wait a while for this one :(

Anyway, what ever happened to the extended edition/director's cut?

The dvd/blu-ray/digital copy combo has always been cheap to me. On amazon UK at least. They're fairly cheap for what you get. I don't even think we get any other editions anymore do we?

This post is irreverently entertaining!

who knows what irreverently means anyway? i can honestly say that i dont think i have ever seen that word used before, although i can assume it means the movie is good.

Can't believe that time is almost here, hoping the picture qualitys is at least better than average with an excellent audio mix.

They better start filming Kick-Ass 2 soon

Kick Ass 2 starts pre production directly after First Class is done next spring.

Can't wait to get the Blu!
More Hit-Girl please.

I really want to see this again, I actually thought it was underwhelming when I caught it for the first time. I think that had much to do with a lot of the hype and positive buzz, and so I ended up taking it too seriously.

Going to pick up the Blu-Ray after work. I can't wait. :D

I had the same plan. Two Targets, a Best Buy, and a Walmart later I finally found a copy of the Blu-ray. I suspect Walmart hadn't sold out due to the fact that they've got their BRD/DVDs locked up behind glass like their games.

When I got home, my family surprised me by renting it earlier in the day. :lol

Some Kick-Ass 2 details from Millar himself.

"She has to stop killing people, you know? That seems like an interesting starting point in the next one in regards to her character. She is going to be like Clint Eastwood in Unforgiven, where she hasn't picked up a gun in years. It's that type of thing. I like the idea of doing that with an eleven year old girl. She was part of this massive cacophony of violence. But she's not allowed to kill people anymore. She is consumed with anger, and forced to watch TV shows instead. Halfway through the movie, or the comic, we will follow her as she picks up a gun again. It is going to be awesome."
"He hires this bad ass girl from Russia, she comes into the story, and her plan is to kill Hit Girl. Red Mist becomes like Charles Manson. He goes online and influences a bunch of young villains to go against Kick-Ass and Hit Girl. The whole thing ends up as a big gang fight like you'd see in The Warriors. There is going to be a big gang fight in the middle of Times Square between all of these costumed heroes. And at the head will be the Red Mist and Hit Girl."

Ummmmm. So the action isn't really going to start until half-way through the movie? Don't get me wrong, I thought Kick Ass did just about everything it tried quite well...but I only *really* enjoyed the interaction between hit girl and big daddy and the violence. With no
big daddy
, that pretty much leaves just the violence in KA2.
