A look at the output of Sony Interactive Entertainment for 2026

"And lol at adding" implies that they were not worth adding, which makes zero sense as quantity is an objective measurement, unlike quality. But also, if you were not expressing like a (NPC) teenage edgelord people would understand you better.
The irony is that only an edgelord would unironically use edgelord. Sorry me not slobbering over playing a hitball simulator is so upsetting for you.

Smash Ultimate was developed by Namco, but it's considered Nintendo output...right?
It is interesting how Nintendo can outsource all games they want and there's never a discussion on whats 1st party or not. Sony does it and it's always the same conversation.

Anyway, about Kena (since someone mentioned):

Partnering with PlayStation Studios has empowered us to craft an even larger world – one built with an emphasis on tightly designed regions, deliberate progression, and a strong sense of adventure. We're super excited to share more in the future and can't wait for you to get your hands on what we've been crafting. The reception for Bridge of Spirits was humbling, and we hope to deliver on what everyone loved about the first game and more.
Seems like Sony financed the game quite a bit and the scope changed because of it, just like they did with Stellar Blade.
Sony is also the publisher for Kena lol.

Saros and Wolverine im looking forward to.......whenever they come out on PC.
If Tokon has a decent single player component ill jump in, if its fully MP then im out cuz im not good enough to learn a new fighting game and be even decent at it.

Kena isnt a Sony title so it doesnt count.

Pretty bleak year......but we got the third parties to carry the year.

They are as much Sony games as Bloodborne was.

Sony published Bloodbourne.
Kena is developed and published by EmberLabs.

Better than 2025 for sure. Tokon and Marathon for me. Wolverine is on my list but I'll need to make sure is not another Spider Man 2 situation before I commit. Saros is the top dog for me. insta-buy.

I'm honestly curious with people saying this. Is there any third party publisher releasing more games this year?

Resident Evil 9
Pragmata
Onimusha
Berseria Remastered
Crimson Desert
Replaced
Invincible
007 First Light
Master Collection V.2
Phantom Blade Zero
Kena 2
GTA6

Yes third parties are carrying the year easy work.

That doesn't answer question, and come one with Berseria lol.
Plus, Kena 2 is first-party as I showed you on that same post and you ignored.

This entire generation

Tides of Annihilation as well. Nothing Sony has done this gen begins to match 3rd party stuff.
Edit: Beast of Reincarnation and Solasta 2.

How is Kena 2 first party when its developed and published by EmberLabs?

And your question has little nothing to do with my post so NOT sure why you quoted me to ask it.
I stated third parties would carry the year, third parties are carrying the year.
Sonys output this year doesnt look to have any GOTY contenders IMO.

And yes Berseria makes the list of hype third party games coming out this year.

It's an okay lineup. There are two games that potentially interest me (Wolverine and Kena), but I'll need to see more before I am sure.

Third-parties carry every year of every single generation because comparing a single publisher (the platform holder) with hundreds of third-party publishing partners makes zero sense. Hence the question of any third-party publisher releasing more games than Sony this year.
Also, Wolverine and Saros follow up previous GOTY contenders/nominated (Spider-Man 2 and Returnal), so I wouldn't be so sure of that?

It's hype, indeed. It's also a 2016 PS4 game.

Ignoring this again?

I dont know what you are pointing me to?
Yes Sony invested in the Studio doesnt make the game a first party game as EmberLabs is developing and publishing the game.

My point still stands.

Glad you agree.

If it says PlayStation Studios, that means that Sony is funding, producing, and publishing the game. They literally mention the PC version there, and Sony wouldn't advertise the PC version of any game if they were not publishing it

Ohh you should have said that.....you kept linking the entire State of Play I didnt understand why.
If Playstation Studios is publishing then sure, it counts and Sony gets my dollars cuz im day one'ing that.

I'm interested in SAROS and Tōkon, but I'll wait for reviews and streams to see if they are worth full price.
I'm worried about Saros, I'm 100% certain Housemarque will deliver another absolute banger, but there is no hype for the game, I don't want another Bluepoint situation
