Also sou take higher profits every day of the week.
Nintendo made around 1.4 billion usd operating profits in Q2.Sony had 1 billion profit just in the Q2 with PS (Sony Group had 4 billion in total).
Not sure where that graphic comes from.
What was the profit of Nintendo in the last quarter?
Sales wise, amazing gen for both of them.
We don't have any PS top sales, but they shared some numbers (Summer 2019):
Uncharted - 16.25M
Spider-Man - 13.2M
TLOU Remaster - 12M (20M total)
God of War - 11M
Horizon Zero Dawn 10M
Some unconfirmed numbers:
Gran Turismo Sport - 8M
Infamous SS - 6M
Uncharted Collection - 5.7M
Ratchet - 5M
They still need to update TLOU2, Ghost of Tsushima and others.
So much for BUT EXCLUSIVE MATTER, exclusive sell consoles! For Nintendo, yes. It indeed does.We don't have any concrete numbers about that other than player count.

Nintendo made around 1.4 billion usd operating profits in Q2.
Last quarterWhere did you find that "higher profits"?
Nintendo had more than 1 billion profit last quarter?
I'm really asking, didn't find nothing about that.
It's certainly has a few drawback but it's pretty much working greatly for Nintendo, for example PS3 did more damages to Sony than WiiU to Nintendo thanks to that business strategy
It's risky though because if their next gimmick fails, like the WiiU, they're completely fucked.
No they aren't. They are stocked on the same shelves as PS4/Xbox games. The just outsell them multiple timeseah I mean you dont buy a swith to play Call of Duty or FIFA
Nintendos competitors are small indy games, so its a bit unfair to compare.
But good for them. Great hardware and software sales. They have a good strategy right now. Hope they keep going like this
I don't really give a shit about either of the platform holders because they don't really give a shit about me as well (which is fine, since they're in it for the money). I do own a Switch and I like it. I also like my PC. And I also liked my PS4 systems (which I have sold). I might be getting a PS5 Slim down the line, who knows? To be frank, all of the systems I have owned weren't perfect and had flaws. Sony's biggest flaw in recent years has been build quality for me and their lack of interesting/strong first-party games. Nintendo's biggest flaw is still somewhat limited third-party support and Xbox's (or rather Microsoft's) biggest flaw is their focus on aggressively pushing their ecosystem and being hell-bent on locking consumers in. But I do like that Microsoft have remembered that Windows is a thing, so they keep putting their games on that as well.Noticing a pattern here. You don’t like Nintendo?
Why do people keep on insisting the Switch is a gimmick?
It's the best handheld on the market. Nintendo has total and utter domination in one segment of the videogame industry. No one is competing with them.
That's why it's going to be the best selling system of all time (as a family). People buy it *alongside* their home console or PC.
The jury's out on the Switch - it may be a gimmick and it may not. It's certainly got some of the hallmarks of a gimmick. The very fact that it has no competition is basically proof that Sony, Microsoft and others aren't sure about the long term viability of the market. Once they are they'll flood in with their own versions, and Nintendo will be in trouble again.
This is true but not necessarily a negative thing. Might be negative for 3rd parties as their game sales usually pale in comparison but that also applies for some of their 1st party titles developed by outside devs like Platinum. Nintendo has a large core fanbase that tend to only buy Nintendo games on their platform. They also tend to own another console in tandem.Due to the lack of games/variety from 3rd party, Nintendo relies heavily on its games.
Right you are.
I heard the iphone is a gimmick too.
In which case I'd say the central feature is essentially a gimmick - but time will tell.
If your preferred platform would get any good 1st party exclusives, you would be singing a different tone.So much for BUT EXCLUSIVE MATTER, exclusive sell consoles! For Nintendo, yes. It indeed does.
But for everything else: no, exclusive have never and will never sell consoles. Never.
Having rooftop Mariokart parties with friends, doritos and dips is not the central feature. That was just an advert.
It's a handheld and a home console. You can play it sat on your couch, either in your hands or on the TV. That's it. Very simple.
Your argument is like saying the main feature of the iphone is it's camera, totally ignoring that most people use it for internet, whatsapp or pornography.
Honestly not trying to be rude, but what on *earth* are you talking about?
It's selling like fucking gangbusters. What other metric do we have for determining desirability?
It's doing well like the Wii.
So your logic is it's selling incredibly well like the Wii, but everyone will quickly get bored of it (despite the absolutely incredible software sales we're seeing) and then Nintendo will revert to type and release a Wii U.
So, presumably, the next iteration of Switch will be a failure.
Stop being a prick.
It's more like your logic is that the Switch's sales must be proof of the fundamental desirability of that type of console, whereas the Wii's sales are nothing of the sort.
Which is obviously completely incoherent. You should be a man and admit it, rather than trying to twist my words like a fucking coward.
Nintendo 1st party games need to compete against each other. It's amazing how well your first party titles sell when you lack third party support.
Take something like Spider-Man for example, released at a similar time as RDR2 and AC Odyssey. If it was a Switch exclusive it wouldn't have that third party competition.
