Why are these protests always made up of old white women surrounded by a bunch of uninterested looking minorities and young people? What do they hope to accomplish and what are they fighting for? Are they seriously trying to dissuade the US government from pursuing a national interest issue?

Fun fact, Venezuela has one of the largest oil reserves in the world. The US is not going to just leave it for the other latin countries to take over, or worst, letting Russia and China come in.

Dat Deus Ex esque music at the beginning. For those unable to watch the video, activists like code pink received access cards, from former Maduro diplomats, and barricaded themselves in the embassy. Queue demonstrations occuring outside and then supporters of Guaidó showed up. That's when tensions were raised with cops trying to keep each group on their own side. Police prevented food deliveries from going in. Then electricity was cut off in the embassy.

Nothing better to do when single after menopause. Note the lack of wedding bands.

come in? China has 50 Billion investment and Russia owns signifigant amounts of some oil fields there. VZ was selling subsadised oil to Cuba while its going broke.

Its hilarious that everyone is like USA wants the oil, while thats actually why Russia is in VZ and thats exactly what they are doing. If any of the actors are acting on oil and money its China and Russia (and Cuba) that have billions invested in Maduro. Its always the US that is the big bad imperialist while Russia and China are just good guys looking out for the common man LOL.

So why the "We love Maduro" chant? i'm not assuming all of them are really venezuelans.
They are “code pink” anti Trumpers that is why.

If their brand of partisan denounced Maduro, they would not even be there taking over an embassy that does not belong to them.

Because many leftists are just anti-america at the end of the day. They will protest anything we are involved in because America is "evil"

Oh I see.
Then code pink should promote some trip to those members so they could travel to those places which they are campaigning for. Just to you know... know better who and what they are fighting for. Let's see if they still maintain that posture.

They probably would take a trip to VZ, but it would be to Potemkin villages. They went to Iran but I doubt they visited any of the gays being hanged over there.

What a shame. They need to go there, give Maduro in person a hug . Look him in the eyes and say "Maduro si, Trump no". Then they should pay a visit to any ordinary family from Caracas, for example, and tell them how much they love Maduro just to watch their reaction.

It would be more like those North Korean tours people go on. And then Code Pink will come back and tell us all how great VZ is under Maduro. And how great Russia is doing in VZ, but then Russia bad because Orange Man Bad, which would hopefully expolde their heads due to the contradiction.

Pretty sure the Venezuelan embassy is considered the sovereignty of Venezuela. So if a bunch of left wing douchebags want to take it over, I say have fun.

Considering they were invited by the Maduro (who is recognized by the UN to be the leader) government they did.
