I think we'll still see it...on current gen of course. But i remember Max Payne 3 being announced and then we saw nothing for years...So it's possible this may pop back up...perhaps sometime in 2015?

About time. How many games did Sony announce on an E3 stage that never made it out?

TLG, Agent, FFV13, Resident Evil PSP are the ones I can think of. Do either of the other two (MS or Ninty) have as many canceled games?

FF Versus was turned into FF XV, and TLG is still in development as far as we know...

FFV13 just got renamed FFXV. It's in production now.

Dang. This was what I hoped was next from Rockstar. Some cool re-reveal PS4 trailer.

I thought that seemed like an aggressive thing to say and then I read your member title.

Y2Kevs title is actually a lie. He's not like that.
He wouldn't say sorry.

Also, no shit. It's deader than Final Fantasy XV.

I'd be surprised if anyone was seriously anticipating it. At this point it's more like "hey, maybe we'll see something called Agent show up for real from Rockstar!" and less "this game looks awesome and I can't wait to play it!"

Still, it DOES seem like Rockstar doesn't like throwing out these trademarks/IPs once announced, so I do kind of expect that they'll eventually release a game called Agent. What it's like and what it's relationship is with the game they had in mind when they announced it is another story altogether.

I was kinda anticipating it (or still am :lol) just because of the description.

The game is set during the Cold War and will take players into "the world of counter-intelligence, espionage and political assassinations", according to a Rockstar press release. Rockstar has yet to reveal any details regarding the setting other than the fact that it will be set in the late 1970s.

Given how effective Rockstar is at establishing a setting and time period, a Cold War game by them would probably be pretty awesome.

It's so dead I actually forgot about it. There's no hype. Just a logo. It's better off cancelled.

Keep in mind folks that in Rockstar's 16 years of history they've never canceled a game after announcement.

EDIT: Also to add, this game has been in production off and on since the PS2 days and was originally being developed by Rockstar San Diego before moving to North at some point. The title is obviously something the Houser's want to see through.

Shame. Game sounded pretty cool in concept.

I'm glad they didn't send one out for The Last Guardian because I'm browsing GAF tonight and I need them servers working properly.

So this means that Rockstar still have a load of Sony money they're doing nothing with. I mean to my understanding, Sony at first paid for LA Noire but in the end didnt want it (or something to that effect) so the funding went towards Agent. But now with Agent canned...?

Nobody should be at all surprised if this is true. All we've seen of the game since it was first announced in 2010(?) is a logo. No screens, no trailer, no press updates...

Rockstar potentially weighed up the risks of a new IP and the fact that no one knew exactly what the game even was yet and thought - 'screw it, we'll use that manpower to work on something that prints us money' (GTA / RDR).

I always thought when this game was brought up it was a recurring inside joke like The Last Guardian or something like that.

I was on Rockstar's website yesterday and it struck me as odd that they still have placeholders for this game. Even on new pages (crews for instance), which is a bit weird but there's probably a reason
