Albion Online |OT| Craft. Trade. Conquer.

Will be jumping on this the minute it hits iOS, think my 10.5 Pro should be more than enough.

Is there a Rogue archetype? Can you play a melee with staves / staffs?

Having a blast so far! I just finished gearing myself up with T3 gear. I'm going for leather armor and bow (eventually warbow and crossbow). Now I'm on to grind myself some silver and buy a house.

Name is Kimya if anyone wants to add me or start a GAF guild.

I wouldnt play this game on tablet. It may be fine for farming and crafting, but you're going to get totally destroyed in PvP against mouse and keyboard players.

Ok, so would be good to hear from:

Bought it today and downloaded the android app, played all day on my phone because I couldn't get upfront of a computer. Works pretty brilliantly on my s8+
on this point. I am mostly going to PVE anyway but interested to know just how wide the gap is.

So I have finished T3 for all of the available starter combat options and I think I am starting to narrow it down. I have tried the following:

T3 Staves, ice and fire seem the most fun - I ended up enjoying both when worn with heavy plate.

T3 Sword + Board, Honestly this one was kind of boring, out of everything I tried this weekend I found this to be the least interesting.

T3 Bows + Daggers, I think this one is going to be the winner and it's currently what I am rocking. I enjoyed this one allot and it's going to be a toss up between this and "battle mage".

Game has some variety, it does take some grinding to get to it.. and who knows maybe in the higher tiers as more and more gear options become available I will change it up. My build right now which just melts monsters is actually an archer, which is something I never ever play in MMO's. Right now I have T3 bow, leather chest and legs + a T3 scholars hood. I enter battle with T4 foes and I am currently dropping them before even 1/4th of my life bar is hit.. so.. this might be the build for me. I can see this combo I am using being devastating in 1v1 PVP but I don't know about group style.

Frost staves with plate + shield was also allot of fun.. you can take a hit and you have lots of AOE options + the damage is pretty good. Again I pair this with the T4 scholars hood for mana recovery options.

Alright official guild is now active, search Glory and Fortune in the guild tab to get an invite or send me (Eorl) a message to get an invite if I am online :)
Couldn't find the guild either so I'll just wait till you're on later

Can't find the guild in-game!

edit: also, where I can find how much silver is needed to buy a premium upgrade?
Hmm, if it doesn't tell you anywhere, I think you can do the math yourself by checking how much gold is selling for at the moment.

2,500 gold is the cost of premium right? Not sure.

And you should have 2,000 gold just from buying the game.

and where do you actually buy premium with gold?

is that the staff with the shield spell on E? Seems really underwhelming on paper. 30 sec cd right?
Yea, it's OK for solo PvE but the holy staff + book is better for general PvE. If the cooldown was 15 sec it would at least be usable.

Got my T2 house!

Man, can't stop playing this.

whoops double post
Grats. That tent was pitiful, lol. Working on getting my blocks for T3 house today.

Was working well, now I log in and get dropped every 2 minutes for the last two days on mobile . Seems like the server is just getting hammered. This did not hppen when I logged on through computer. Probably just have to wait until official release on android so things can get sorted out. As of right now, I can't play for more than 2 minutes without disconnecting

I got my island to level 4, I now have a farm plot, pasture, and an herb garden. Now I need to save my veggies for a while so I can focus on raising goats and chickens to build my silver back up (eggs and milk seem to sell briskly). I think I'll hoard potions for our eventual guild, sell them at like 5% above cost or something - or barter them with you guys.

So it's better to build first the farm and then the pasture?
Definitely. You need 10 veggies to feed each animal for optimal output from a pasture (and the focus to nurture them). You should also check on livestock every 12 hours. Chickens burn through food. I suggest going through two cycles just collecting veggies before starting a pasture.

Damn the grind is real at T5. We need a guild and/or start helping each other on our islands. Maybe consolidate. I will focus on cooking and alchemy and add everyone on GAF as visitors and users to my island and buildings, 0% tax. If I have time I'll try to add another building.

Great idea we can coordinate I will report back with a focus as I haven't yet decided my craft plans fully.

Might pick this up tomorrow.

PLEASE tell me this isn't a game where all the 'good land'/islands have been bought by the head-starters and you are now fucked forever if you want to try being a crafter & merchant.

So many MMOs get this wrong where anyone who even joins 1 day late is screwed from getting a good spot of land forever and ever.

Private Islands and Guild Islands are all instanced and you can do your thing on those.

The server land is open to anyone, and it seems to go up for auction every week or so.

do we really need to get multiple characters to get most of the game if we have a strong community ?
This game is so grindy that you generally do not want multiple characters, but still there is no logical explanation for this except greed.
Now i would prefer to dual boxing, than have two characters on one account, because except for Gold you dont share anything and cannot transfer anything and with dual boxing you could.

Potentially obvious question inbound but I used to really enjoy playing Runescape a while a go but don't feel like going back to it, will this scratch that itch?
