They really run based on base PS4 performance? What the fuck man, at least give them a "boost mode" as if it were a PS4 pro.

I was waiting for the PS5 to finally play GOT, you're telling me it will perform the same as in my old base PS4, so no point in waiting then?
Ghosts of Tsushima has pro enhancements so they'll work on PS5 as well. Games that do not have pro enhancements will run at PS4 settings unless patched.

What about PS3, PS2, PS1 are we getting partial support or none at all?
Nope, that's a no go.

PS4 was basically confirmed months ago, but some people tried to make out like it wasn't happening. Though I do think backwards compatibility is massively overblown by a small proportion of gamers.

I think it's a sense of entitlement that's kind of sad when Xbox first started doing backwards compatibility it was like a hundred games that worked at most and they progressively added more and more as time went on. But Sony stepping back into the arena for the first time since one of the bygone skus of the PS3 they're offering 99% of games will work and people are complaining that that's not clear enough and they need more clarity like we had this specific clarity about what games would be possible on an Xbox one over time. It's stupid concern trolling by the way there's no PC set up in the world that is better than 99% backwards compatible there's always going to be a game that you have trouble running and that's the most backwards compatible platform there is. If you want more clarity maybe focus on a different issue because this is as good as this one gets.

PSX, PS2, and PSX games on stream for $470 each or $400 a month while I can play Xbox, 360, and One games on Series X free.

You are grasping the straw my good man.

Ryan also said that of the thousands of games tested for PS4 backwards compatibility, “99 percent” can be played on the next console. Sony also announced a new service called PS Plus Collection, which will offer 18 PS4 first-party titles for download to subscribers to the PlayStation online service. It’s a tremendous freebie for anyone who plays their PlayStation online, and a good entry point for anyone new to Sony properties like “The Last of Us.”

So then it’s 99% of tested ps4 games will be playable on day one. I’m sure this number will be greater by launch, but you seem to be spreading more misinformation and FUD, despite what your OP says.

It’s like the first time people hear about this 99% number. It’s used all over marketing not just games and the reason is so they don’t get sued. By being a GAF member your PS4 game is probably supported unless you got out of your way to buy that shovelware that sold miserably.

Soaps advertise 99.9% of all bacteria because they haven't tried every bacteria and they know it. All != 99%, so all was the wrong word to use. If you're going to put an end to misinformation, don't start things off with misinformation.
