Not good.
Damn, his console bricked before he even got it out of the box to set up.
Not good.
Indeed, it is very easy for me to take delivery of an item, unbox it, throw some bricks in there and claim the driver stole it.People need to record their drivers dropping off the packages or handing them over and then themselves opening the packages - all in one video and one take. Otherwise, these claims cannot be proven.
Right'o..
So one of the biggest console launches for years, zero stock left for months, and drivers in droves being thieves. Not a bother though, nothing to see here..
Give your head a wobble.
I bought my PS5 online from Best Buy and it was delivered without issue. I also bought my RTX 3090 FTW3 online and it was also delivered without issue.
Yea I guess so. Weird that this happened in UK only with amazon. Did we hear something similar in us ?
Im not in the UK. Im in the States and Amazon logistics was always wonderful. Until my PS5 was ordered. I couldnt believe the driver legit tried to steal my PS5.Amazon Logistics are actually one of the best in the UK (After DPD). So it's shocking to see this.
The only problem I have with Amazon, is that none of their drivers can speak English. So it's hard if you need to ask them anything.
On November 19th, which was the release date of the PlayStation 5 in the United Kingdom and the 16th birthday of UK Citizen Jenni Walker's son, Ms. Walker's Closed Circuit Television camera recorded an Amazon delivery driver do something very suspicious: handle what appeared to be the PlayStation 5 that she ordered for her son's birthday, scan it, put it back into his van and drive off.
Needless to say, the PlayStation 5 that Ms. Walker ordered was not delivered that day. So, her daughter drove to the local Amazon depot and showed the footage to the person in charge of the depot; he acknowledged that the driver was one of his employees and stated that he would fire the driver.

This incident was not an isolated one; numerous UK citizens have made posts via social media claiming that their PlayStation 5's were not delivered or that they received other products, such as kitchen appliances and cat food, inside of the boxes that were marked as their PlayStation 5 deliveries.
Except you can track your package all the way to your house. The driver scans your package as Delivered..Handed to resident. And then drives off and never comes back. Literally what they tried to do with meThis proves nothing. The driver might just put a packet that was in the way to the ground and later back to the truck. As long as you don't see the address, there is no reason to doubt the driver. There could be more people that got the PS5 in your place, so it was not necessary his/her packet.

Most likely the size and weight of the package given it away. Plus having tell tale signs like a sticker saying lithium ion batteries inside are other hints as well as the day. Just take your truck to remote location and take a quick peek. How does delivery guy knows its a PS5 that he's delivering?
not really thread worthy tbh
Not good.
So tell us the rest of the storyThis isnt isloated to the UK.im here in the states and an Amazon driver tried to steal my PS5 as well. I caught on to the scheme and stopped it midway. Recieved my box tampered with for sure.
I tracked the package all morning. Watched the driver park across the street. Got the notification on my Amazon app...Delivered-Handed to Resident...a notification Ive never recieved on any product I've purchased. . Then the driver was gone. I immediately called amazon customer service support and let them know. They said give the driver 2 hours. I waited. Nothing. I called again...then they couldnt reach the driver and offered me a refund. I lost my cool and they put a supervisor on. Told me to give him till the end of the shift 5 pm. I sat right by my front door. At 450 i decided to open up my door and have a peek. My package was sitting on the floor. The driver never knocked and just placed a clearly tampered with box down at my doorstep and tiptoed away.So tell us the rest of the story
That's sketchy as hell. Screw that driver.I tracked the package all morning. Watched the driver park across the street. Sketchiest shit thats ever happened using Amazon. If i didnt call when i did ...the driver would've made off clean. That's sketchy as hell. Screw that driver.
Maybe in the wild west land. My experience with amazon has been A+. Started ordering consoles from amazon for launch day back with the original PS4 (then Pro, One X and now PS5/XSX all coming on launch day in time) and every single driver always went out of their way to signal me that I should enjoy my gaming session.Never, never, buy expensive “hot” items online.
Amazon and the like are for boring cheap stuff.
I have a hard time believing that rando delivery drivers would care even one little bit about your gaming experience, but I'm glad you haven't had any issues.Maybe in the wild west land. They all knew what they were delivering.

The drivers here are all relative young foreigners / immigrants. Wouldn‘t be surprised if most of them are gamers themselves.I have a hard time believing that rando delivery drivers would care even one little bit about your gaming experience, but I'm glad you haven't had any issues.
This was the box exactly how they delivered it. The driver even changed the black Amazon prime tape. Im fully convinced the supervisors at amazon had an idea what was going on ...and gave the drivers a heads up to fix whatever he was doing. I complained aggressively and all they did was offer 30$ gift card
The funny part is..I am a cop . I ran out to try and confront the driver..to get his plates..his face..everything. But since he didnt knock he was able to scamper away. I was royally pissed and I couldn't even enjoy my ps5 for a few hours. Couldnt believe people are risking their jobs for a game consoleI hope you phoned the police to report that cunt as he obviously opened and tampered with the package.

The sad part is...im afraid he will do it someone else who wasnt as quick or suspicious as me. Amazon wouldnt give me any details about the driver at all. It also made me so angry. I work hard and did everything right and secured my preorder...for some fucking loser to try and steal it away from me like a coward at the last 100 feet of delivery. At least mug me with a weapon like a real man.If I was the supervisor/manager of the delivery depot, I would have took it off him, reported him to the police and delivered it myself to apologise man to man, if he even had the gravitas to knock and apologise himself it would have gone a long way, he simply does not deserve to work as a courier again, it shows he cannot be trusted.
