Internet hatemob burnings make me sick. I'm a big fan of gathering factual information and due process through proper channels -- so many innocent people have been brought to the guillotine that didn't deserve it. Remember Alec Holowka? What happened to him still gives me chills.
That was so damn sad what happened to him.

so twitch will start banning those accused? So if you’re accused is that totally it? Can someone get you banned with 0 evidence to back up their claims? If so couldn’t twitch themselves get in trouble over that?
This will go how it always goes. The rules will be applied strictly against streamers they dislike, and leniently against those they like.

I think you're definitely right, in that the idea that Nazism is a left-wing ideology is demonstrably false and hinges on little more than nomenclature.

On the other hand, you're definitely wrong, because the failure of communism was not an historical accident. Communism didn't fail because evil sinister men happened to be at the helm. No, Communism is fundamentally immoral and there is no possible recovery from that foundational flaw, as poignantly illustrated by its trail of disasters across geographies, across cultures and across time periods. It's inherently totalitarian, and therefore inherently immoral. That it also leads to less prosperity is but a side-effect.

Therefore, the "We the virtuous will get it right this time" kind of approach can only be proclaimed by those who fundamentally misunderstand the nature of communism.
I indeed think communism is a well-intended idea, but the nature of man is incompatible with it. It requires self-sacrifice by those in power and those that have a lot. Amusingly, feminism could be seen as a form of communism as it is men giving up their natural physical superiority over women and creating a society where they can exist as equals - which, unsurprisingly, is a good thing (talking about actual feminism, not its degenerated 2020-variant). Germany's public healthcare system is also communistic in nature: Everybody receives the best possible medical treatment (ofc, there's an optional private system next to it, so capitalism exists here, too, but not as strongly).

So yes, I'd say communism fails because of corrupt leadership - and that seems inevitable, because even our democratic systems are sensistive to corruption. I could tell you lots about my German government politicians: Scheuer who wasted more than 500 million Euro because he ignored the legality of a traffic project; Klöckner who keeps pushing "voluntariness" in areas where it's obvious that it doesn't work and only benefits the big corporate lobbies; our otherwise okay Green party that keep supporting homeopathy that is evidently bogus; Esken who openly supports the Antifa and implies there's latent racism among all German police; Altmeier who keeps defending coal energy; Söder who keeps wind powerplants from reaching the necessary numbers, and so on. All this obvious WRONG bullshit, and that as part of supposedly strong democracy. These people would lead communism astray just like any historical figures.

But the core idea of communism isn't bad. And certainly doesn't deserve to be put equal to nazism which is pure egotistical evil.

Sickening posting.

Communism in theory is something GOOD, it just has never been applied in a working manner, because totalitarians/dicators abused its idea.

Nationalsocialism (nazism) has nothing good in it, its goal is to eradicate everything foreign/alien.

The goal of communism is to better everyone's lives, the goal of nazism is to eradicate all the disagree. The former isn't tied to other ideas, whereas nazism is firmly tied to authoritaritan ideas.

I won't debate that and if you reply to further relativate nazism, I'll put you on my ignore list. I'm German and I've learnt enough about nazism to never ever accept any relativating of that horrendous shit. And no, communism wasn't evil per se, it was evil because assholes like Mao abused it without accepting it for themselves.
How old are you?

No man, no. Power is always power, the label/propaganda doesn't matter. Communism is about power and subversion, because even if idealistically the goals were "good" (they aren't), it still requires power and the denial of the individualism of ideas and aspirations of the population.

Humans are not equal, especially in regards to their aspirations and what they want to do with their lives. Some are attracted to power, some to materialism, some to nature, some want nothing but a good and easy time, some like to work hard, others like to work the bare minimum to keep going, others want to help others... and all that's fine, it should be that way, because we're individuals. In communism all our personal traits are denied, and the only way to enforce it is through power and propaganda.

So you see, the very idea of communism contradicts itself.

Wanna know how the real "good communism" can be achieved? A small group of people with similar golas working for the same thing. That's it. You dream of a fair and self sustainable environment where everything is everyone's and everyone is as free as can be? Awesome, I like some of the ideas too, but it has to be in a small scale, with similar people sharing similar ideals and morals working for a similar goal. You know the definition of that? A community.

Communism is against communities. Isn't that funny?

Isn't good enough for who?
A rational adult that would actually take you seriously. Better yet -- ask who it IS good enough for. If the answer is 4chan, incels, or the_donald you've got yourself a mighty fine reasoning problem.

After seeing that chick I was like.

Only a fucking coward would go after the guy who fucks their wife instead of actually confronting their wife over it and kicking her to the curb.

The onus is on the person who is already in a relationship to resist advances and set boundaries. It doesn't fucking matter who the other person is (or what their morals are like) in that scenario.
Uhhh did I say only go after the guy. HELL NO. My point is if you are going to make excuses for those guys you should have enough self awareness to realize you would not want another guy fucking your wife. Its' called empathy. You can say whatever helps you sleep at night. Those guys are just as immoral.

This is nonsense. You are making a moral argument that communism is good, but don't try to deal with any of the moral logic of the system.

Your argument is essentially " well communism is good, but people are bad, so I guess communism won't work....for now"

The core of communism requires a corrupt view of humans.

I will admit, I've been pondering that lately.

Is he a dude-bro because he likes taking care of his body? Or is there something else?
He just took one look at him and judged that guy in less time than it took to watch the video. Normally he does not have a sleeveless top that shows off his build and tats but thiers a heatwave on in the UK this week so he's dressed down. A lot of people are surprised he's that built if you read the comments becuse you don't normally see them. He just covers movies and pop culture and often calls out woke bullshit with entertaining British slang. He's not actually dudebro at all.

I can't agree with this. If someone who is already taken can't make it clear enough that nothing is going to happen then it's on them. Nothing happens if they shut it down and don't entertain the other person. If they make it clear it's not going to happen but the other party still persists then we're looking at it going into the scenario where it can be argued as harassment.

I will also say that in a lot of cases it's not "some other guy fucking your wife", it's actually "your wife fucking some other guy". Women have the final say when it comes to sex, always.

If you're not satisfying your wife in a way where she won't go and fuck some other guy (or let some other guy fuck her) then that's on you.

It doesn't matter who the "other" person is in this scenario and what their morals are, it's irrelevant due to the fact that it's not something you can control. There are arseholes and immoral people everywhere however you should be making sure the person that you decide to marry (and stay married to) isn't one of them.

Just my 2 cents.

And it's my two cents that these people are immoral making excuses for their own actions by putting the blame solely on the woman. It's called enabling. If you are cool with sleeping with taken women, you are a piece of shit too. Not just the girl. You actively contribute the poisoning of the community and good relationships. The most masculine thing you can do is admit to your OWN mistakes too. Take accountability, be a man and say NO. Otherwise, you are just as bad as the cheater ESPECIALLY if you make excuses. That shit is pathetic.

Ah yes because life is so black and white and we would all be living out fairytale love stories if not for these so called pieces of shit going around ruining everything.

It's 100% on the person in the committed relationship. The single person can't help their feelings and/or desires, if they are given the green light how the fuck is it their fault?

Life is complicated and it's never a binary situation where there must be good guys and bad guys.

It's not about putting the blame solely on the woman either, the exact same thing applies the other way round. Believe it or not but some women make a habit of going after married men.

Life long relationships come about as a result of what started with cheating FYI, it happens all the time. If someone is willing to cheat then their relationship is doomed/broken anyway, people don't just do that shit unless they feel like the situation is beyond repair.

Guess what, I have been on both sides. At least I am man enough to finally admit that what I did was wrong too. Im so sorry that I feel bad about my actions and have empathy for the other guy. Im done talking to you because I will say things I should not say. Cheating on people and lying to them destroys lives and helps make other people naturally paranoid about other relationships, thus continuing the cycle. I have seen that first hand too. I dated a woman who was so paranoid about guys cheating on her because she had a history of shitty men cheating on her. That shit was very sad to watch. As a training mental health professional, I see the damage that it dose to people. You are right. The world is not black and white but all Im asking is for people to think of the other person, and to just maybe admit that it was wrong too.

The problem with that is in this latest spate of twitter lynch mobs, NOTHING in these spurious accusations even if true include any sort of illegal behavior by the accused. A bad date in this case, not screwing some bitch in a drunken stupor and not being a perfect boyfriend to said drunk's friend in Avellone's case, lying about being married in the Ubi guys case - NONE of that is a chargeable offense.

This is all gossip, insinuation, harassment and inciting twitter mobs to ruin these people's lives. The only due process that should be involved is how much these bitches are going to have to payout in a lawsuit for damages.

These scenarios are complex a lot of the time and that blanket statements of "you did xxxxx, so therefore you must be xxxxx" are over the top. I didn't think I was on Resetera. Throwing around labels to such a degree is dangerous and only leads to more lies and cover ups. Look at the situation with the Ubisoft director and the lengths to which the woman is going to in order to try and absolve herself of guilt and pretend to have known nothing. It's bullshit and we all know it but she is doing it to try and come out of the situation looking like the "good" person.

Its clearly a sore spot for you but the reality is that most of the time when people cheat its not with some random person they just met, it's usually with someone they've formed a bond with over time, hence my stance is that it's on the committed person to make it their purpose to not allow things to get to that stage. What of scenarios where both people who are cheating are already in relationships?

None of what I'm saying absolves the other person of guilt nor does it mean they shouldn't feel bad about their actions but the reality is that the only person fully in charge (and therefore calling the shots) in this scenario is the person who is already in a relationship.

People often don't think of other people, we live in a selfish world and we see it everywhere now (people fighting over toilet paper ring any bells?). That is amplified when the person who could be harmed is not seen or known to the individual. So again, spend energy influencing what you can influence and not on what you can't. You can influence the person who you are in a relationship with and the clearest signal you can send is to simply break up with that person pick yourself up and move on rather than concern yourself with who the other person is and what they are like. You just have to hope for better luck the next time.

To be fair, if Joe's lawyer issued a Cease and Desist to her, as he very well should, then she took the claims down, as *she* very well should.

Or you know, there would be legal consequences.

Of course, Joe could pursue this further and sue her to oblivion, but I think he wrote in his statement that he won't, if she takes down the claims.

Or she could go through legal system. But I'd like to think that any judge won't be happy to know how opportunistically she went about it to begin with by posting on twitter.

Other than that, unfortunately if these attacks are somehow organized or coordinated, we won't find out until some time later when the movement deteriorates or implodes, and people within start telling that story. More damage will probably have been made till then.

Where can i see that god forbidden mug of her's ?
He could do better, and honestly after seeing her. I think he was just trying to be nice and help her boost her twitch career.

It's none of my business but I think he's gay and doesn't want to come out, he just wants to keep it under wraps. I've watched some of his streams where he's had very attractive female steamers on with him who were way better looking than her and he's always super nice and courteous. I watched one stream where a female streamer who was really good looking was literally all over him and he refuted her advances and was a gentleman the entire time.

Joe has been doing this for over a decade, he's collaborated with numerous female streamers yet none have come out against him nor for him. That shows respect for allowing him to deal with the situation the way he wants to. Female streamers aren't dog piling him.

I think that's as nice as you can be in these circumstances. It's like 'look, I'm gonna give you a chance to realise what you're doing here and the consequences of what can happen'. Take it down and we'll forget it or shit will get real. I mean this could have blown up and killed Joe - we've seen cancel culture work quickly. I think he did well to refrain from any engagement in spats and just sought professional guidance and advice.

And I'm not a subscriber or anything. I may watch the odd video of this now and again that someone links but I'm not really a youtube watcher or viewer. Nor a stream viewer/watcher.

Joe has had girlfriends, one of whom did videos with him. He's also passingly talked about some girls he's attracted to in some videos. Defo not gay. If he's resisting advances on steam he's just being smart.

But the core idea of communism isn't bad. And certainly doesn't deserve to be put equal to nazism which is pure egotistical evil.
Fuck.
Off.

It is bad. And it is equally evil as nazism. Both are only enforceable by violence or threat thereof. And are therefore equally evil.

Hell, communism is worse than nazism. Because it seems so "nice" on paper it has much easier time convincing people. But then when put into practice it leads to same misery every time.

Yeah. Worse yet, his co-dev friends completely and publicly cut ties with him in response -- never mind a proper investigation through proper channels. It was a real knee jerk and probably contributed to his mental decline and subsequent suicide.

My heart goes out to anyone falsely accused and hate mobbed without proper investigation and due process. People who pull this shit are scum, as are the people who support the outrage mentality.

Wait so the guy killed himself, the allegations were wrong and she still has a career and people act like everything is fine and dandy?
Talking about Alec Holowka? No, the "allegations" were mostly true, however Zoe Quinn had, said by herself, long forgiven him. She simply randomly decided that day to expose him, acting naivly as if she didn't know what it'd mean for him. He was attending therapy, doing all he could to become a better person. Until Quinn sic'ed her court of public opinion against him. How this went about was still entirely unuust against him. Not that the crazies would care one bit.
