When the criteria for a "dark moment" is games coincidentally having less women than men on display, I think we're probably doing alright.

Anita will never be satisfied, because her only aim is to twist a narrative about "sexism" in gaming.

Can I just say, I’m thrilled at this thread. I remember a time when people not only took her seriously, anybody arguing against her was banned, unfollowed, deplatformed, silenced, or otherwise ostracized. It pleases me to no end thatpeople are finally treating her like the fraud she always has been.

I’m going to go check ResetEra and see what they have to say on the matter...

Need a sacrificial lamb, the person you at least expect to get the job done on appeasing and satisfying that hell cat Sarkeesian is none other than our beloved and often misunderstood @MiyazakiHatesKojima
*Knocks on Anita's door*

Anita: "Who is it?"

*silence*

Anita is confused but oddly turned on by the suspense of a silent knock.

She peeks through the peephole of her wooden-carved door and sees this:

Anita: "Nani!?"

Anita starts to shiver from fear but then becomes oddly turned on by the suspense of a stranger hiding inside a cardboard box.
(Note: Anita Sarkeesian didn't get the MGS2 reference because she doesn't actually play videogames.)

Anita opens the door for this strange man hiding inside a cardboard box and welcomes him inside.

Anita: "uhm....make yourself at home."

The cardboard box man then proceeds to make himself at home.

Anita sits on the coach and smooches closer to the cardboard box man. She begins to worry that she may have made the worst mistake of her life by allowing this stranger into her home but then becomes oddly turned on by the suspense of a stranger hiding inside a cardboard box sitting next to her.

Silence ensues for a few moments until a voice is heard coming out of the cardboard box saying:

"Kept you waiting, huh?"

Needless to say, Anita Sarkeesian, a self-proclaimed gamer, feminist, and coder, was on all fours getting pounded from behind by this majestic stranger in a cardboard box.

Anita: "Yes! Yes!!! Oh Snake!.....Snake?.........Snake!?........SNAAAAAAACKKKKKKKKKKK!"

After 35 seconds, Anita and the cardboard box man complete their sexual intercourse session and start smoking a cigarette. Suddenly, a voice is heard coming out of the cardboard box and poses a question to Anita:

"Did you rike it?"

Anita, who hasn't had a man in her for years, nodded her head and expressed how she felt completely satisfied:

Anita: "Wow.....I haven't felt this satisfied since 2016."

The cardboard box man did not respond. He stood up, pulled up his pants, and proceeded to the door where he would exit and never to come inside Anita and her home again.

Before Anita realizes what just happened, she sees a calling card on the coffee table and picks it up; it reads:

"Tomorrow is in your hands."

Anita, perplexed by the enigmatic calling card, flips it over and it reads:

"You've just been fucked by the one and only @MiyazakiHatesKojima."

The End.

This short story is dedicated to @Pallas and all the sexy ladies out there.

In quite a few games, there's really several equally important characters.... Does she count those if some are girls? :messenger_smirking:

Well... this is going to sound a bit toxic, but hear me out.

Men were not designed to be impress by strong women, beyond the curiosity or the occasional fetish..

Men in nature were always supposed to be the expendable part of the Human community, with every bit of their Body and Mind designed to be in the front lines, and their genetic material can be given in abundance by anyone at anytime. That's what mother nature commanded, and that's why eventually every human civilization was designed to support it.
I don't find it weird, that after a million years of this system working, the male minds where not made to support the strong "front-line women", and quite the opposite, in many cases reacted negatively to it, as it's a terrible idea for any community based organism to bring the heart of it's community danger.
It's only in the recent decades where with the rise of technology and the spread of peace, most of the natural advantages of men have become insignificant, the danger zone of the world has been drastically reduced, and the overpopulation shows no need to further replenish one's numbers. Only now the female side of the human race are asking and getting the more active roles, even if the true "front line" roles are mostly in literature and media entertainment.

Long story short, don't complain if strong female characters are getting second place in attention or are being portrayed in skimpy outfits. We are all in the process of changing millions of years of human nature here, so cut us some slack.

Someone should glue hair braids on both side of her eye-glass lenses. "Representation is every where now!"

What these women don't get is if they make games that appeal more to women, men would be less likely to buy them . . . That might not sound bad in the first place if it evens out but I myself believe men are more likely to invest in a hobby. Therefore buy more merchandise, buy more DLC and invest more time in genral.
My wife, my mum, female friends all seem to have no real hobby therefore can't invest as much money into something (besides the obvious clothes shopping . . . that they seem to have all in common :-/)
So from a business stand point it makes sense to do games for guys and their particular taste and intrests.

And hell can't we have just fun as men anymore. I mean there were times people looked down on our hobby. When I was a kid finding a videogame playing girl was practically impossible I never met one . . . No people like her invade hour hobby and wanna change it. Imagine if we would do something similar to something that is hold very dear by our female population I mean all hell would break loose. :-/

I would unironically do it.

You know, in general I don't post shit like that and I don't like it all. But to read obvious bullshit is annoying the fuck out of me. Over and over again. It's a videogame who cares about shit like that? uhhh..

What's the actual endgame here? OK say you get 50% female non scantily clad women in games. Then what? Games will sell more? More women play games?

There is no endgame outside of she gets more press.
Most people who go on about these kinds of things don't have a real endgame or solution in mind. It's the old idea that just gathering around something will force it to change.

Here my question, why does she care so much about the avatars and not care about the women making the games or presenting them?

You would think that a woman with a great job, like Kiki Wolfkill would be more important then the character presented on screen, during gameplay.

"Saying this now will allow my organisation to ride on E3's coat-tails and bring in more funding. It'll obviously stir-up idiots and I can cash in on that too like I did in the past".

To legitimize internet activism and make sure every nobody with a following can affect an industry by using social media to thier favour.

As more companies cave to this pressure, they get more and more power.
