Anthem Demo Impressions Thread

Since the demo is almost upon us I thought it was time to create a thread dedicated to everyone's take on the game.
I got a lucky friend code so I will give my own later this weekend!

Does anybody know the time when the demo will be available? I am getting a connection problem (anthem demo is not currently available) when i am trying to connect to ea servers.

I'll be jumping on the Xbox version at launch, if the servers are working. If anyone wants to team up my GT is UltraMegaByte.

You can get past that screen by just clicking through it over and over. The next phase is another connection problem though.

I’m probably just gonna wait a bit. Already tired of clicking “okay”

Kindly disagree @JareBear We *shouldn't* expect this. EA is quick to take our money yet can't be bothered to test anything.
This only proves they love being continually ridiculed and scorned.

i can't recall if i have the VIP version. i was able to download the game, and now i'm at the start screen, but every time i continue past the EULA the music crashes and i get thrown back to the xbox dashboard.

I’m not saying expect it because it’s okay.

But logically if something always happens, it’s something you expect.

This always happens with server dependent big game launches.

I agree it sucks. It happens every single time though

I got into the game, walked around and accepted a mission, went to launch said mission and it promptly froze on the loading screen and refuses to launch again.

You're fine. EA's servers are getting crushed. I'd wait an hour or so. Nobody around here has successfully gotten in yet well except @Threeshotgamer who promptly got
frozen in his tracks in game. I'm sorry bro!

I'm confused, on the origin site it says I have access and that I will just need to log on my ea account on PS4 to get in but it keeps telling me I don't have access even before I can do anything.

I had to quit the game and reload it a couple times and just kept mashing A and X and finally it said, "searching for server" and I got in

pretty much every game has server launch issues. Online gaming is complicated. It will all work out in the end

Never get the disaster that was the Diablo 3 launch. The first time they go all internet on their new game. The game launches and nobody can play it cause their service was down for 24 hours and those 24 hours were the launch hours lol.

One X. Same happened to me when I tried free roam. Quit got back in, tried the mission, played for like 5 minutes and got dropped from the server.

I'm sure one of the reasons for the demo is to work out these issues
