And it looks like he is coming with a Halo stage too !

Hope he has a great moveset and that people like his inclusion in the game . This makes it....two guest fighters for KI Season 3 (Arbiter and Battletoad's Rash), so if that is all the guest characters for this season, that's cool. Covers MS's IP (Halo) and a classic Rare IP (Battletoads).

So at this point are they just turning Killer Instinct into Microsoft's mascot fighter franchise on the back end?

Though, every semi-serious hypothetical roster for Microsoft All-Stars was 95% Rare characters, and therefore heavily skewed towards KI to begin with, so the outcome would be the same either way.
