I remember someone on here had a bad experience preordering from fishpond, but I wouldn't know about buying points. Maybe email them and ask how they process code orders.Kirby102 said:Just wondering if anyone has bought from Fishpond before...
I am really tempted into buying 3000 MS Points for $39.99, but I don't want to get charged $5.99 for the shipping of the card itself. D:
Do they deduct the shipping costs and email the code? (Also, I applied a -$10 coupon too, so I guess $30 for 3000 MS Points is... worth it?)

Can't wait to get mine today. I bet you it's the bloody springwood stuff.

I want to see what this baby can do. lol- if its anything like the guys camera above then dang.Rlan said:I got my crap! A Digital VIDEO Camera!
I don't have 3 AAA's and an extra SD card handy, so I can't test it out
And JB sent my package on Tuesday, I ordered it the week before.

I am. Might not get much time to play it, though.BanShunsaku said:We'll see I guess. Anyone other AusGiraffers picking it up today?
Gaaraa said:Just got my crap, was the same video camera as Rlan.
Haven't got any batteries to test at the moment.
And it's tiny! not much bigger than a credit card.
Not expecting much quality...
BanShunsaku said:Yeh I'm interested to see how it plays...
From what I've read/seen of it so far, it does appear to be completely linear. But to be honest, as long as the story is at least a bit compelling, and the battle system is fun, I really don't mind it being linear.
I think a lot of JRPGs are very linear, they just give you the impression of freedom.
The lack of towns/shops is a bit of a strange design decision, but if it means less aimless wandering and loading screens and more action I don't think I will mind.
We'll see I guess. Anyone other AusGiraffers picking it up today?

Who is it delivered by? Aus post? They are usually here at 8:30 or so. Maybe they are running late.

Look at this Steam users.
"First up, a Battlefield: Bad Company 2 four-pack. Sure, it may sound mighty expensive at $149.97, but split it four ways and that's just $37.50 (a savings of 25%) per copy." (from Shacknews)
It happened. After everyone bought it.
How's the CE? I'm picking it up this afternoon but still considering whether it's worth the 140 bones.BanShunsaku said:My collectors edition of FFXIII was just delivered, has definitely washed the bad taste of lavender from my mouth

BanShunsaku said:It also came with a "preorder exclusive" - a weird smelling rubbery plastic A4 sized manilla folder with pictures of the FFXIII cast on it. WTF I am meant to do with it is beyond me... Put my important FFXIII documents in it maybe?

Well the eb preorder exclusive is a calendar so I guess that's better...?:lolBanShunsaku said:I'm at work unfortunately so I won't be able to crack it open until tonight.
I got it for $129 from game.com.au, it probably won't be worth it but I'm a sucker for collectors editions.

I just hope the art book isn't dodgey.

-Winnie- said:Oh, and AusGAF, best place to preorder GoW3 CE?
I'm hoping for $5 Yosumin & fingers crossed Thief 1 & 2 to come on SteamBernbaum said:Steam are having a Square Enix/Eidos sale this week, with a different special every day.
I've got my fingers crossed for a Tomb Raider package with all three games. Might get the first Deus Ex, given that I have no interest in the Hitman games.
That's a little disappointing:/ You'd think they'd put a little more effort into an artbook since it's a sorta high profile jrpg. Oh well, at least there's still the soundtrack.-Winnie- said:I've got my CE with me now. The art book isn't really an art book. Just kind of an overview of the setting, world and characters with screenshots and CG pics.
It's so weird how there's hardly been any actual ART shown from FFXIII. :/
CE is still quite nice. Perhaps not worth $140, but the free calendar eases the burn a little. :lol

Cool.Aon said:I just played DEus Ex last week and it's aged pretty damn well except for the shooting mechanics and enemy shooting animations. Amazing game.
So they had excess stock of those particular items. Did they severely overestimate the 'liquids you rub on your skin' and 'extreme low-end camera enthusiast' markets?evlcookie said:So it looks like ausgaf got flooded with $2 digital cameras and body lotion. I wish i got the body lotion instead of the camera :lol
Sweet, really looking forward to it.Aon said:I just played DEus Ex last week and it's aged pretty damn well except for the shooting mechanics and enemy shooting animations. Amazing game.
