I remember someone on here had a bad experience preordering from fishpond, but I wouldn't know about buying points. Maybe email them and ask how they process code orders.

Let us know how you go, fishpond seems good in theory but I haven't heard much feedback about them to be honest

edit: More problematic for God of War III is that much of the "collateral damage" I referred to manifests as an unsettling streak of violence against women. Not just violence against women, but against (human) women that have been sexualized and made to appear defenseless.

Yeh I'm interested to see how it plays...

From what I've read/seen of it so far, it does appear to be completely linear. But to be honest, as long as the story is at least a bit compelling, and the battle system is fun, I really don't mind it being linear.

I think a lot of JRPGs are very linear, they just give you the impression of freedom.

The lack of towns/shops is a bit of a strange design decision, but if it means less aimless wandering and loading screens and more action I don't think I will mind.

We'll see I guess. Anyone other AusGiraffers picking it up today?

Fishpond is just selling you retail products. If you want the code emailed to you use gamecard.com.au

I've got my CE with me now. The art book isn't really an art book. Just kind of an overview of the setting, world and characters with screenshots and CG pics.
It's so weird how there's hardly been any actual ART shown from FFXIII. :/

CE is still quite nice. Perhaps not worth $140, but the free calendar eases the burn a little. :lol


Oh, and AusGAF, best place to preorder GoW3 CE?

GoW3 CE. I'm not too sure. Probably game or eb to be honest. You might be able to find the CE at online places, but i haven't noticed it at zavvi or cdwow or 365games. They all seem to list the standard edition.

The thing is, the standard edition is $99 on their website, so what they really should be saying is "the RRP of the standard edition". But anyway, thats the cheapest I've seen the CE for, but I haven't really looked around much

That's a little disappointing:/ You'd think they'd put a little more effort into an artbook since it's a sorta high profile jrpg. Oh well, at least there's still the soundtrack.
