That's a 692,675 peak in launch day concurrent number of players across platforms!
For comparison: The latest game from DICE, Star Wars Battlefront, peaked at 347,974 in concurrent players when looking at the last 24h peak a day from launch, so pretty much half of BF1.
Star Wars Battlefront went on to ship over 14 million copies, but it was a game with bad player retention.
What's even more impressive about the Battlefield 1 peak in the last 24 hours is that the launch day rush yesterday was muddied by the Early Enlisters that have been playing since Tuesday. There was also a "minor" DDoS attack yesterday that DICE had to contend with.
EA had a what now seems rather conservative 15 million sales expectation for Battlefield 1.
How much do you think Battlefield 1 will end up selling? Will it see better player retention than SWB? You guys are welcome to provide other examples of peak player numbers to end user sales comparisons.
