"Welcome to A World Transformed"
"U.S.A. and Russia stand at the brink of war. Proxy wars have waged for decades, generating experienced but displaced combat veterans. These Specialists use their skills to shape the future — a future worth fighting for."
"Battlefield 2042 introduces 7 vast maps for up to 128* players. From Seoul’s cities to Egypt’s deserts, every map offers a unique experience based on the natural environment."
"Customize weapons, gadgets and vehicles in-battle to tip the scales in your favor. Summon a robotic dog built for battle, employ a grappling hook or don your very own wingsuit."
"Choose your role on the battlefield and form hand-tailored squads through the new Specialist system. Based on Battlefield’s four Classes, Specialists have one unique Specialty and Trait – but the rest of the loadout is fully customizable."

With BF4 they really nailed the sandstorms and having it change the map. Adding a tornado is going to make for some great fun, especially if they can get the physics right. Excited for the reveal later.

With helicopters and "go anywhere" maps, I'm all in.

I've very excited for this. Even though I never flew helicopters cause I can't fly worth a shit, they are essential to the experience as they add a quick transport across the maps and allow the level to have a vertical scale as well (Without having to climb 10 stories).

And shooting down a helicopter with multiple players using a single RPG is one of my favorite and satisfying feelings in gaming.

Hot damn, nobody appears to be calling out this game as woke for clearly dealing with runaway climate events

I have a feeling this might me the KZ:SF moment of this generation everyone is waiting for.

PS. People calling for bullshots when it's obvious the game will be (as usual) shown on latest, most powerful PC tech out there (so a R9 5950X, 64GB RAM, and RTX3090, if not two). This is how the game will look on high-end PC.

I'll wait for actually gameplay. Needless to say it's one of the few games which I'm in on before seeing it.

I've got a build in mind for later this year as long as the graphics cards are more available by then, put aside £1500 and am just waiting now.

As much as I love to see advancements in game design and graphics.... I really need my PC to last another year or so.

I'm not a fan of future settings, but it appears more low-key with no gravity drive/power armor stuff, I might give it a go. Also wonder if they're toning down the whamen signaling with one? There's even a dude on what I presume is the cover now, with a future setting a woman with a prosthetic arm would have actually made some sort of sense.

The parachutes are already ridiculous in Battlefield, wingsuits just exacerbate that problem.

Tag, you're it.
This is what cross gen does for ya!
They sure do.
It looks bad in these pictures period.
What could be has nothing to do with that statement.
I think it ends up looking better than these pictures.
Remember me @S0ULZB0URNE?
Do you still think you can judge the graphical aspect of a game on leaked 240p pre-alpha screenshot? Or as I said, you should wait for... you know... the actual reveal ?

Yes that's all fine and dandy but companies still use bullshots regardless (especially EA, Acti) to showcase their games on store pages or outlets such as IGN, Gamespot, Eurogamer, etc. No doubt the game will look crazy good on high-end hardware but they'll still use whatever touch-ups they can to get rid of imperfections or to otherwise highlight certain elements in their images.

Probably just the usual EA non gameplay stuff. Just need that black screen at end for dates/beta.

Just need the beta to validate the gameplay. Even if they showed gameplay it would be played by someone who has never played FPS games ever and just plays like its photo mode.
