Who cares? By the time that is even up for consideration then nobody is playing the game anyway.
BF3 servers are still up for god sake. What stupid line of logic.
it does matter to me, i never bought an online only game or a game that requires online connection to function.

yeah, they are charging $120 for a "full experience" and this is EA
The ‘full experience’ you refer to is marketing bullshit, I’m not paying $120 for the game, I’ll get base game at base price and will get the full Battlefield experience

MP only is the full Battlefield experience and has been since 1942

I cry about SonyGaf from my chair in Redmond, WA
Yeah imagine if they made one and actually out some effort in?
Why hunger for a battlefield campaign when you know its weak?

Theres plant of games with a campaign in it. Good ones. Why getting upset over a franchise who's primary focus was online?

Lmao advantage call of duty. Y'all really gonna pay for a f2p

The rumor is CoD won't have a campaign this year either. It's just MW2 MP Remastered.
all battlefield games before this had offline portions to them, this one doesn't. if you can't see the problem i don't know what to tell you.

100% not true. Bad Company on Xbox was the first Battlefield to have a SP campaign. Before then they were strictly MP games.

since when stating opinion became bitching?

The consensus is that the offline/single player elements of recent BF games has been poor and a waste of resources

The best and most acclaimed BF games were MP only

I have never heard of anyone buying a BF game for the offline/SP elements only, no one would, it’s a BF game for Christ sake

Why? Paid seasons are good. You get what you pay for. They did away with Paid DLC for BFV and Battlefront 2 and look at how poorly it was supported.

BF1 had paid DLC and they got 20 maps in just over 18 months after launch. BFV and Battlefront got maybe 5-6 maps.

You cannot expect developers to make 20 massive maps for free. That's not how things work. You get what you pay for.

I would rather pay for high quality maps than F2P shit that doesnt get supported. how many maps have Fortnite and CoD Warzone gotten?
What? battlefront 2 became a whole new game with it's free DLC. and was supported for 3 years almost. BFV also became better with free DLC.

I'm happy to hear that it's multiplayer only if that has meant they've been able to focus all their resources on making the best multiplayer they can. The only BF single player I've completed was Bad Company 2 and I thought it was pretty mediocre even though many people think it's the best one. If that's the best they can do then it's best that they stick to multiplayer only which I've enjoyed a lot over the years.

I think I played two of the BF1 stories. Didn't touch ANY of the BFV stuff.

Exactly, no one does lol

The consensus is that BF2 is still the GOAT, a $60 game, MP only and worth every penny

BF3.. as above
BF4..as above

it’s no coincidence that BF1 and BFV with their SP elements are the worst entries in the franchise

Or people simply aren't mentally stuck in the past and live in times where MP-only games are free. You wanna full price, sure, release the full content then, fair and simple. When each new installment offer less and less, for more and more, people have all the right to vote with their wallets. And vice versa,no pne is stopping you from buying 10 ultimate copies, if you really think EA deserves it.

Sorry but you can't equate free to play multiplayer games to paid one just because its convenient for your point. Overwatch isn't free, Knockout City isn't free and so on and so forth.

You guys are stuck in one singular vision of how a full experience offering a multiplayer should be and doing false equivalencies just to push outrage while doing wrong claims to top it off, which is quite impressive to be honest

Agree entirely on BFV, but BF1 was great. Aside from BF3 and maybe 4 it's the most fun I have had in a BF game. The gunplay was fantastic.

I am glad I no longer have time for these types of games. If there was one thing to like about BFV, was the lack of paid seasons or map packs that fractured the community. Now we are back to splitting up the community with these dumb packs. Wait to get the complete set? Everybody smokes your newb ass. Just not fun.

Mmmm I'll wait until it's at least $30. Got battlefield v for $48 and didn't get my money's worth.

the mode DICE LA is working on could be F2P who knows

I mean, my guess is that it is. But EA are known to be greedy ass fucks so I can't put it past them.

If they know what's good for them they'll offer up a free mode to stay more competitive IMO.

I'm surprised at all the hate this game getting here.

Battlefield had SP just as a tack on and pretty much because it was seen as a requirement to compete in the console space. It has always been an MP focused game. Even when they put the SP campaign, it wasn't really that popular. The general opinion is that CoD's was better. Long time BF fans don't really care for SP campaign in this game. We want what this game seems to be bringing: lots of players, huge maps, vehicle warfare and crazy stunts.

I mean, it's like getting pissed because The Last of Us 2 released without a MP component, it's just not the main focus (although I think people liked the one from the first part, personally never played it).

I think not being F2P is the right choice but I would have played anyway, to be honest. The latest entries have been less than stellar but it is till my favorite FPS and has been since 1942. It never stopped having a lot of content. Even BFV which was ultimately dropped.

Let's celebrate that at least they are not fucking it up in the same way they did for the last 2 entries. They are giving long time fans what we want. People displeased with it are people that picked BF up along the way for all the wrong reasons or just people that don't like EA regardless if they are developing the best game in the world.

COD Warzone is pure fire and it's fucking free.

Come on you idiots.
I had fun with Warzone but COD gameplay geta boring quickly, it’s for idiots in the main, you run at 40 MPH and your shooting at bullet sponges

BF offers a different experience that is more enjoyable to me and something I am willing to pay for

That may be true, but if society completely falls apart and the means of communication are shut down, how would anyone possibly play their online only games while fighting for survival????
Okay fine. If it's that important to you when the end times come I will let you play the secret 2042 single player in exchange for toilet paper.

Maps, guns and specialists will be free ......... you only pay for COSMETICS IF YOU WANT TO LOL

60 euro mp only game when theres so many good f2p mp out there? charging for season passes for a full priced game? ROFL good fucking luck with that and anyone buying into this shit is a fucking idiot. Yes you reading this that already preordered it. You're a fucking moron for supporting this crap. Even cod went f2p with some common sense.

I just want to know how much the seasons are.
I'm guessing the premium season passes are 10 bucks each. I won't be getting any of them unless I can "earn" in game credits towards it or something. I'll be sticking with free seasons and get all the gameplay elements.

Yea. I stopped at BF3. I did play MP with that but these days I just don't have the time to become good in MP. I had a horrible kill/death ratio back then. I'd rather stick to SP.
I say this without ill will, but there will be the solo/co-op 128 player mode where everyone but you are AI, making it sort of like a single player experience. Prob not worth the $60 for that alone though

There have been more BF games without SP than with it I think. This is not new for the series.

BF1 also introduced Operations which kept the action concentrated on 1-2 areas compared to the 5-7 different flags. it fixed the biggest issue people have with the series where you have to run for 2 minutes to get to the flag only to get sniped by the time you get there.

In operations, you were in the action all the time. You spawned less than 15 seconds away and thanks to all the shitty ranged no scope assault rifles, you didnt get sniped by someone lying prone 50 yards away. Even snipers couldnt get one hit kills unless they came in closer in the sweet spot range or had the hard to master but wonderful Martini Henry. My favorite sniper rifle in a game ever.

I hate what they did to operations in BFV.

My bet is $15. I also bet that it is a copy of the CoD system. New skins for specialists and a few high quality gun skins being the draw. The rest being filler.

Outlandish camo, some special tag taking animations, anime tiddies, and maybe even some animated gun skins.

Yea, I know. I just like SP mode.
How? Why?

I am a massive fan of the series going back over 10 years and even I admit the SP campaigns have been passable at BEST. They have never been "good" by any objective measure outside of Bad Company.

I can kinda see where the lack of single player complainers are coming from if their only BF experience is BF1 onwards, however anyone who has played BF4 onwards or before and moaning about no SP is either trolling or a complete idiot

Apex battle pass (and most in the market) are $9.99 so that's how much id guess it'll cost.

I think that's fair but to expect a decent single player experience from these type of games is laughable.

I think they did you a favor because buying BF or CoD for the single player experience only is even worse waste of $70 than multiplayer only with 7 maps.

Because i can put 1000hrs into the multiplayer and you'll play a shitty 6 hour campaign...

I know, but it's EA and it's one of it's biggest franchises. So I'm going high.

(I know EA controls Apex as well. I'm just saying. I've learned to expect the worst from EA and then be surprised when it's not as bad as I thought)

I don't play them for the story. I just don't jive well with MP. I get more frustrated than anything else. At least with SP mode, I can change the difficulty settings. :messenger_tears_of_joy:
