So, guys, I feel like every game these days has some kind of fishing mini-game. I played one in dota 2 last year, this month alone , 2 games(gravekeeper and dredge) have fishing game on it. Most of the are the same... And boring. Why so many include them if they aren't gonna make it fun?

So, since it seems all game will eventually get one, do you know any that is actually fun to play and should be replicated?

Red Dead Redemption 2 had a very immersive fishing mini game. It gets my vote.

only fun fishing in a non-fishing game to me was Stardew Valley.

FFXV had a fun and challenging fishing minigame.

I usually don't bother with those but did spend some time fishing in Far Cry 5.

Spent a lot of time chill fishing in WoW. Nice way to enjoy watching a show, fish up some loot and make some gold on the auction house.

The fishing in Sea of Thieves is solid and fairly deep, especially when combined with the Hunter's Call faction.

Twilight princess

Facts. Loved it on Wii especially with flicking the fishing pole. The first bits in the village are meh but when you get the proper stuff and have your little canoe to move around the lake it's rad. I really wanted/want them to make Link's Fishing Adventure like Link's Crossbow Training expanding on it.
