Bethesda games without English voiceover in EU PSN

I already posted something similiar in a Dishonored 2 topic, but I think it might be thread worthy.

I was checking the Dishonored 2 listing on the PSN and noticed that it listed these languages for my country (Italy): German, French, Spanish and Italian.
No English dub.

Bethesda already pulled this shit with Dishonored DE and The Evil Within.
If you try to start these two with your console's main language set to English, you get the French voiceover instead. There is no language select in the game, so you need to switch your system main language back to match your own language. If you are like me and don't want the sub par italian dub, you're shit out of luck.

They fixed this with Fallout 4 and Doom 2016, by including the English language in every region, but now they took a step back.

I really don't see why they do this, and this will prevent me from getting the game.

Is there any way for a EU account to buy from the UK store? :/

Update:
They updated the store details, now it specifies that the English dub *IS* present.

I am really angry about this bs.
I bought Dishonored DE digital again on PS4, just to discover that Bethesda pulled the english language.
It makes me mad, on PS3 it released the game the same way, but when the game was in PS Plus it got the version with english language.

Finally they wont get my money, I wait and will buy it cheap.

I am so tired of treatments like these.

I already said it in the other thread as well: I absolutely hate this practice from Bethesda. During a recent PSN sale I fell for it and bought Evil Within only to realize I cannot select the original English voice-overs. I made it two chapters into the game before giving up with the shitty German dub.

And sadly, this wasn't the first time that I've fallen for this. Bought Wolfenstein TNO in a local store, got home, found out the original (and amazing) voice-overs are not an option, brought it back immediately, ordered the UK version from Amazon.

Stop this shit, Bethesda! We want the original English voice-overs as an option, not half the languages of continental Europe but no English.

Disgusting. Almost as bad as Atlus. The worst thing about this is that many won't get the warning because the reviews won't be ready on launch day. I hope they get amazon bombed.

I can't stand my country's voice overs. Had to change my PS4 language to get the original voice over in some games.

That's pretty awful

Simply not having an option somewhere to change the dub/subtitles of your game in 2016 is a problem and should not exist anymore, but having a whole dub missing, when that dub is the one talked by a lot of the world population, that is just stupidly bad.

It's not just EU PSN. Bethesda's nonsensical regional restrictions are/were also on EU Steam. Some EU countries have to pay full price but get inferior region restricted versions of games missing languages and having other restrictions like "this game only playable in these countries". At least it has gotten better on Steam and they mostly fixed this with new releases.

I checked from the store on the console.
Now that you mention it, the site seems to refer to Dishonored DE, but from the console it refers to Dishonored 2.

Edit: okay ^_^

I'd just buy a retail copy from UK or US.

Yeah, it's a shitty practice.

But I can get it for 9,99€ in Germany retail at GameStop ~_~...

Yeah it's definitely strange..and I hope it includes the English VO.

Good. That would've been abysmal, otherwise.

I remember the crazily compressed (like 64 kbps, not even kidding) Italian speech in Fallout 4. I don't think it has been addressed to this day, good thing I play everything in English anyway.

Yep, I always avoid spanish dubs too as they're extremely lousy and always employ the same actors again and again ad nauseam. Games should have a dub/subs selector as dvd/blu-ray nowadays, there's simply no reason not to.

Same here, also like movies now many games feature lip sync so sticking with original version is best. Add to that English subtitles if original audio is English because I prefer reading and listening the same language as long as I understand it.

More Japanese games need Japanese audio, too.

My console has been in English since before my 360 showed two red lights and that was before playing most of ps3 catalogue.

I was affected by Evil Within (didn't bother finishing it anyway) and I remember Squenix did the same with the ps plus digital version of Deus Ex Human Revolution, it was in French for me. Had to play that on pc later (didn't finish that one either lol).

This gen I'm glad at least several games had individual selectors for subs and voices (and sometimes interface too), so you could have your console set to your native tongue if you wished so (and if every game had those options). Last one is Tomb Raider on ps4 which also can display different colours for different characters in the subtitles, first game I've seen doing that.

English is on the disk (german release), so it will be on others aswell. This refers just to Dishonored 1

Like mentioned before, Bethesda changed this since Fallout 4 to the better and kept this way.

Fuck I got really scared for a moment.
Bethesda games sucked for this on last gen. I had to buy games hoping they would include the English dub and then return them to import a UK copy, which meant a loss of time and money.
